You noobs have to get off this whole drift tax whining bullshit. 5 years ago complaining about the drift tax might have been valid. Why because they were a ton of cars available compared to today but prices were still up(unless you knew were to get them) . Today finding a clean 240sx is like finding a needle in haystack.

Its not a drift tax its called supply and demand as in every single high school boy wants a 240sx and guess what? There are none!! Usually the only thing for sale is some beat piece of crap some kid put up for sale because he bought it 2-3 years ago trashed it and now wants out.

Sorry if this comes of harsh but its the truth. Cold hard facts. No drift tax more like a lack of supply tax.

I completely get the whole supply & demand and its getting harder to find clean ones... but what annoys the shit out of me is when a stock s13 looks like a combination of diarrhea juice,jizz and puke was spread all over it and sat in 115 degree weather and the guy is asking 5k firm.

But I guess I'm "uneducated and likely broke" for not wanting to pay 5k for a shit box filled with vagina spiders.

Yep. I've said it for years that these cars are going to hold their values and eventually start increasing in value. A lot of people disagree with that, it we're already seeing it starting to happen.

In another 10 years, when everyone just wants to mod 350z's and FRS's, 240's will be old and shit and there will be even less of them around, and that will cause their value to rise further.

I used to be upset by 'drift tax' prices. Then I realized these cars were actually just remarkably undervalued. Check the prices of Miata's or Z32's. They're all about the same. On the other hand... FC RX7's, MK3 Supras & Lexus SC's are still pretty cheap. Go get one of those.

The more ppl destroy these cars drifting, the higher the remaining chassis's will be valued at. We don't have an endless supply here. Prices will probably settle around what you might see for a decent 510 or 240Z.

Z33's value is plummeting like a rock. Wait a little bit a grab one of those.

Have you seen hondas and integras with similar mileage? they are around 3-5k. i think they hit their threshold.

what you need to be on the lookout for is Zs Gs and is300's. they dropped like flies the past couple years and a lot can be had for under 10k which is a deal.

Even adults are doing it here in the bay area. There is this old black lady with a dark red s13 hatch 5-speed has like 226K miles and she is asking $3100. I told her nobody is gonna buy it and good luck with sale and she was trying to convince me it was rare and what not and just laughed my ass off all the way to my car and drove off.

Um I would pay 4000 dollars for an unmolested s13 with an uncracked dashboard and un-ripped seats. As long as all oem emissions equipment was there granted I wanted a daily driver. Maybe even a little more if the paint is immaculate.

People want a high priority item car that's popular and want to complain about entry price, and as soon as you buy it you slap megan this and xxr that on it run it into the ground and then try to make your money back like the shit mods you added, increased the value of the piece of shit car.

I see these threads all of the time, it's fairly simple. Buy a car you can afford, and then keep it to yourself when it doesn't work.
