i drive a s14 ka24de, only mods have is intake, s13 cams, nismo thermostat, walbro 255 fuel pump, 2.5" megan catback, cosmetic hg, arp head and rod bolts, urothodox racing pulley, and the motor just been rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. when i drive it it reeks in gas i dunno what it can be when i built the motor i put new everything spark plugs, water pump, and etc.

if any1 has had this problem or know what is wrong please help me, i know the basic on cars and that about it.

could be filler neck tube or put an amp in sent screws into gas tank or a leaky fuel line...............

Check everything that sees gas. Most likely it's a busted fuel pump cover gasket.

Does it only reek really bad with a gas tank that is more than half full and when you corner hard or brake hard? If so it could be your fuel pump O-ring.

it reeks when driving it normal all the time. it might be my fuel pump need to take a look at it. people can smell it from outside of the car when im driving cuz one time my friend was outside and i past by him and he told me it reeks. also i dunno if im getting the right mpg on my car too

Like these guys said. Check the o-ring on the fuel pump cover. The fact you replaced the fuel pump, that the first place to look.

Also look at the two rubber fuel lines that connect to the top of that pump cover. Check for leaks there and that the hose clamps are secure.

There is a lot of fuel pressure there at the those hose lines and at the o-ring.


Another place to look is at your fuel filter. Check that there are no leaks in the rubber fuel lines that run to the filter and the fuel rail.

Inspect these items with the car running (or key on with the pump primed).
