Im pretty sure theres gotta be people here that knows about this wheel offset bs, So i wanna get wheels for my S13 coupe but idk bout the offset here's some info about da wheels I want

BBS RS
16"s all around with 3" F 3.5" R lips

**Offset - ??? They a lot choices but don't know which will clear be better good or idk!
Width - da rims I'm looking at right now are 7.5 all around (rs stock) n since I'm putting da lips (dishes) the width will be 9 at front & 9.5 rear

I don't want my tires to stick out To the point Ima have to buy a rear fenders that's why I'm asking which offset do you recommend!?

+20 offset for the rear, front maybe around +15-20

If your running 9" rims in the front and rear.. they should be flush with that offset.. other people know more about this shit than me though. Its just a general idea for you.

Doesn't da lower da offset is da more tires sticks out!? I really don't care if I have to roll my fenders I just don't want to put over fenders.

Yeah, but if you run a higher offset.. your tire will hit your suspension/inner wheel well since your running a much higher width wheel than stock. I know for a fact that a 17x9 or 9.5 +20 fits really well in the back of a hatch without much work. Front is probably around a +12, +15 or +20.. again not 100% sure on that. Check the thread that people are telling you to check, its got TONS of pictures and sizes in there.

heres what i am trying to understand is why in the hell are people running lower offset wheels in the front? if i was really concerned about flushing the wheels to the fender, id pull the rears so i wasnt running a lower offset in the front and fubaring the handling...just saying

there is a search button my friend but to help a lil, with my lil knowledge im running 18x10+25 in rear and its tucking blehh, 18x10+17 in front and its a bit needs rolling, if i where you id get 17's or 18s da ishhh a good offset for stock body is anything x9.5 +15 or anything x10+17 or less you wont need overs unless your in the neg offsets and or x11 x12 etc

How would a lower offset in the front fuck up your handling? For that matter.. what does your wheel offset have to do with handling at all? Maybe if you had a +40 offset rim and were adding 20mm of spacers it would fuck up your handling.. lol


A lower offset in the front is because the wheel well in the back is larger... which is why people run staggered sizes and offsets. Not to mention because a little more grip in the back never hurt a RWD car.
