I'm looking to purchase a car registered out of state. What are the steps needed to be taken in order to transfer the title and register in California. It's swapped so I dont know if there will be any complications. Tags are up to date.

take it to your local DMV or AAA (if your a member) and get a vin verification done, and you should be good. That way it'll enter the state, you'll still need to get it smogged.

What Sonic said + a thousand times what is the swap....Cali is VERY strict on that stuff....SR, RB....fuggeddahboudit
