Need info OS Giken ts2bd sr20det
I have a OS Giken twin plate for my sr20vet that i bought use but rebuilt !!!
the ex owner machined the clutch plates and flywheel to bring them back to new but i dont think i lowered the mounting surface of the casing **where friction discs and the clutch plates goes** too match what he took off from the clutch plates / flywheel and retain the same claimping force ! My question: Its there a mesurement out there or i need to installe the clutch and see if it slip !?!?!? Or maybe a visual inspection of the clutch cover / pressure plate can indicate its ok or not

Nothing you can really do but to put it on and see if it slips. Or you can buy a rebuild kit for it for about $800 for the peace of mind.
I have 2 of this clutch kit. One needs a rebuilt and another that I'm using now on my RB25, that was originially on my SR20. If you do get a rebuild kit, make sure you specify that it is a TS2BD, not a TS2B. The cage is thinner/shorter on the non-dampened TS2B. |
