sr20det swapped and speedo isn't working
So my car has a s14 sr20det motor now and everything seems complete except my speedo, odometer, and trip counter dont work . the rest of the cluster seems fine, but the speedo doesn't move
THe car had a KA in the car and i believe* that all the sensors were swapped over to the SR. However it's definately possible that it wasn't. EIther... 1. somethings not plugged in 2. there isn't the correct speed sensor/plugs swapped over [but it's not like it's reading the wrong speed].... I know this thread is kinda vague, but can someone show me where to look, things to look for , etc? There ARE extra plugs not being used, but i dont' have a FSM and am trying to figure this out =\. LMK if u need pictures |

What chassis is this on? S14 SR20 in an S13 chassis or S14 chassis. Also, who did the wiring harness? Could have a disconnect somewhere in the harness, maybe the ECU to dash connectors were not done properly.

HRMMMM called MAM and looked up FSM and still i believe* it's plugged in.
Maybe it's not getting power? out comes the multimeter? i mean it's not the speedo itself...it's that whole cluster =( UGGGG who needs a speedo! |

if the speedo doesnt move, neither will your trip or odomoter. and i didnt catch where you said what car you had, make sure your speed sensor and cluster match (i.e. - s14 vss for s14 cluster, s13 vss for s13 cluster)

check your lower harness and make sure the speed sensor under the passenger side of the car is plugged in. even if you had the wrong speed sensor plugged in, it would work but your speedo and rpm would just be off. if you swapped the speed sensor from your KA and plugged them into the lower harness you should be fine. then you need to check with voltmeter to see if your getting any signals. if you do then check your wiring.
