Drift Fury in Florida 4.8.07! Practice/tandem comp.

This event will be a NOPI Drift licensing event. All drivers are however welcome and the event will cater to both beginner and advanced driversPractice will be from 8:30am - 3pm. Qualifying begins at 3pm. Qualifyig will be run in the same manner as practice so this is plenty of seat time for everyone even if you don't expect to qualify for the competition. If during qualifying you receive a score of 12 points or above, you will have earned a NOPI Drift license. We will have a top 8 tandem competition for the money after that. You car must pass the Drift Fury tandem tech requirements in order to compete for the money. If you make top 8 and your car does not qualify to tandem, we will take the next driver in qualifying points whose car passes our tandem tech requirements. Just to add to the above.. It's $10 to spectate. I'm not interested in drifting but wouldn't mind going down to check it out.

Our events tend to get about 20-30 runs depending on the driver pool. If everyone spins out, you get a little less. Even if you don't think you will get a license or qualify for tandem....PLEASE COME STILL. The entire practice portion of the event until 3pm (20-30 runs) is single runs. We try to have a little bit for everyone. New Rule Book for all types of events, click here before the event http://www.driftfury.com/rules.pdf non-tandem tech is a little more simple: # Battery Tie Down (battery box as in tandem rules if it has been relocated) # Helmet (currently SFI approved as stated in tandem rules) # Seat Belts (bolted and functional) # Nothing lose in the interior or engine (no exceptions) # Windows must roll down # NO LEAKS on the car ANYWHERE! # Must have all wheel studs and lug nuts We will rotate up to 6 groups of 10 drivers throughout the event. Each driver will complete 5 laps per session. Be sure to bring plenty of tires, water, food, etc... *No ride alongs unless you are Drift Fury staff or a registered driver. |
