s14 Unidentifiable noise

Ok so here's the thing. I have had this noise that I have been trying to track down for a while now. It is hard to track down. I thought it was coming from under the valve cover at first. My friend insisted that it was one of my bearings saying it was my water pump bearing. I replaced the water pump and low and behold that was not it. It is a very high pitched noise that only occurs at lower RPM, typically 1-2K RPM. Its evident if I blip the throttle. I have been having a hard time trying to find any thread with symptoms similar to mine but can't so requesting help for the Nissan Noob. Oh and I have an S14 with an SR20DET. It is a notch top if that helps.

I don't think it is the throwout bearing because it seems to come from the motor and it is not constant or at an interval. It only happens when I pass through around 2k RPM and it doesn't matter if I have the clutch pressed in or not it will make the noise. I will try to tape it but it is a very high pitched noise. After 2k RPM it is inaudible and the same for under ie. at idle.

you could be low on oil..the noise may be the valves, and when you accelerate more oil is forced into the valvetrain henceending the noise

I don't know if the sr20 has an idler pully on the belt sytem but if it does, check that. I've had it go out on other cars and the symptom is the same.

Ok so I know it took a bit, I've been a bit busy, but here are pics of under the valve cover and a video of the noise. Everything looked ok under the valve cover. Nothing looking like it was oil starved or anything. Also I have been trying to find this noise and I just can't. My A/C went out for a bit so I ran without the A/C belt for a while and it still made the noise so I don't think that it's the idler pulley. You can hear how the noise only shows up while I pass through that low RPM band. MVI_0496.mp4 video by kakashi077 - Photobucket

But wouldn't it make that noise all the time? Also when I boost it does not creep down at all.

lol thanks I have a Greddy Type RS. I didn't think it could be related to that but it seems it was. I tightened the adjustment screw towards harder setting and it stopped the noise. At low RPM at least I only slightly hear it at like 6k but at that point the engine noise drowns it out lol.

The only things that pisses me of is I keep getting a Juttering sound from the BOV and it almost sounds like compressor surge which worries me. On the plus though it doesn't make that high pitched noise anymore.
