FIXED Sleepy Eye Headlight Conversion Kit: Would you buy this?

My Freshman Introduction to Engineering Group have opted to fabricate a FIXED Sleepy Eye Headlight Conversion Kit that is affordable and easily mass produced. Our budget was $80 but we're hitting really low at ~$50 at the moment including lights. This product would be marketed to Casual Tuners that aren't exactly what you would call "Hardcore" but still want to customize their vehicle.

This product utilizes a custom bezel as well as a mounting bracket that is easily installed onto the stock Headlamp Bracket. Installing requires drilling of two holes at prescribed locations that will be marked on a provided template.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask everyone.

1. Would you say that a fixed sleepy eye is a stylish mod? (Y/N)

2. If there were a product that was a Drop In Fitment and worked with OEM Parts and required very little wiring changes for less than $60, would you consider purchasing this item? (Y/N)

Bare in mind this product would not be marketed to a person with alot of Fabrication experience who has a big DIY state of mind.

I would have to see what it looks like too. What kind of lights are you planning on using? How is the light output and cutoff?

Where is ixfxi? I'm sure he'll have an opinion.

*edit* do you mean that the lights cannot be lowered after the install, or that they'll be permanently "sleepy" when they're on? If they can't be lowered, then I would say no.

I would say yes and yes I did mine fixed. I'd like to see what you come up with.

This is before fully adjusted. They're lower (more sleepy) now. They yellow lights are 3000k HID and the whites are 8000k HID. And just to get even brighter the Canadian DTRL's are 3000k HID. The signals are regular LED's.

mine are already fixed... heres the pics

a lot of people like it over stock, and a lot of people hate it. i like it. and the fact that my headlights wouldnt go down and i didnt feel figuring out why. they are PIAA triple beam projectors, and are actually brighter than stock. they are wired to my factory switch and also have a small driving light/signal light inside wired up

why would you do this if all you have to do is cut the brown wire on your head light popper?

Cause he wants to be able to actually use headlights while they're sleepy instead of lighting up the back of his front bumper.

^Because thats the janky, half assed way of doing it, and if your headlight motors don't operate at the same speed (as most S13s don't), then you'll end up with "stoner eyes" instead of sleepy eyes, meaning that one headlight will be higher than the other.

LMFAO!

"It's a time machine. DUH!"

I'd consider it doing it to my car if i had the money to just spent on whatever.....

Kyle Mohan has a fixed setup on his drift fc3s and i dig it.

Looks alot better than just drooping stock lamps plus, you can safely see the road at night like that.....

You bump a three month old post to show a writeup on how to light up the bumper and not the road?

Although the kits shown above are janky, they're aimed properly. Your suggestion aims the headlights directly at the back edge of the bumper and the ground below the car. How does that work for you at night?

im not really into the fixed look, while the lights are on. so id have to say no on that, id rather spend my money on something that woiuld be more beneficial to my car, but thats just my opinion.
