2010 Camaro
Surprised to see there isn't a new thread on this car. Is it played out already? (if there is a thread...please merge my posts)
After reading the report fron Autoblog...I must say its a nice car. I still can't get over the interior, but the exterior, powertrain and suspension is very nice. What do you guys think? Quote:

Camaro > Challenger IMO. It looks like a modern version of the Camaro instead of just an old Camaro. The new Challenger looks too much like an old Challenger.

the challenger is awesome because it looks like an old challenger. they didnt try to re-invent the classic styling, they just brought it back, and damned well.
i like the new camaro, but the interior still makes my eyes bleed when i see it. they need to start making cars that look like the ones from the 40's again...

That exactly why I don't like the Challenger.

Shit I'll take one in SS trim and delete the front emblem, put on a front lip, SLAM it, put on 20s and paint those chrome taillight housings black.

one of my friends (not so close to him) either has or is getting his soon, he payed full price up front to be one of the first to have one when they ship out. Havn't talked to him in a while, maybe I should hit him up and get him to take pics of he has his already.

I'm gonna be honest, I think that front end is as ugly as shit.
Nothing about this car really stands out to me, they stopped making the Camaro for a few years, now they're making it again, just a little uglier. To each their own I guess.

Well I saw the prototype at the LA Auto show last fall. It was friggin big and when I say big I mean wide! I was just not enamored of it. In fact it makes the GTR look small! Not that the GTR is all that large. Though the Camaro is so large. It reminds me of the whole Dodge Challenger deal and the Mustang. Great ideas, great concepts something got lost in the execution.
Oh well Nostalgia fans will buy them and they will sell for awhile.

i'd say, from the exterior. its a compete failocaust. car looks like anus.
the challenger looks better from every angle. i dont know about the interior yet. i was in a new SRT-8 a week or so ago. inside is nice. but its nothing spectacular, IMO. the seat leather is that regular ass domestic seat leather. the shit that you can tell will be heavily worn by 50k. other than that, i liked it. its fairly quick for a gynormous beast of a car. im really over the camaro already though. at this point, i couldnt care less if it never came out.. i know that sounds bad. but ive decided the only car im really interested in right now, is the new 1 series.

I have always liked/had camaros and camaros are about being new and they contradicted themselves by making this one like a 1969. If people want a 1969 camaro they will go buy one.... If someboady wants a new modern musle car with a new look they will buy that instead. I have been thinking about selling one of my z28's and buying a ss

Not a fan, never really have been. The body and lines are nice, but I hate the front end, not a big fan of the rear either. All around I think that it is very mediocre. I wouldn't waste my money on it. The Challanger on the other hand...

I like the new Camaro and Challenger but to be honest, the Mustang pulled off the retro look the best. Just my opinion.
For 2010 it looks like it's gonna be shaped after the GT500KR and will get a TTV6 and 5.0 V8. I hear it'll get IRS too. I wonder how it'll stack up to the Camaro and Challenger. |

Really though, I think it looks amazing and the engine choices kick ass too. I just think the timing with the gas prices couldnt have been any worse. |
