Just wanted to drop a thread about myself to give everyone a little background info.

My name is Jake and I just recently acquired a 91 S13 that I believe is the bare bones base model, though I was surprised to find a rear sway bar.

The S13 needs work. Upon getting it I noticed:

• Clutch slips 3rd and 4th gear
• Front left ball joint is terrible
• Ashtray broken and really annoying
• All the struts are blown bad
• Runs like a damn champ!!
• The dreaded power steering leak (fixed now!!)
• Needs a trans speed sensor (I swear the speedo doesn't work officer!!))
• It's got a ridiculous fart can on it

I plan on fixing up this beater to decent standards for winter use before the cold weather sets in and working on cars in a 30* garage is no fun.

I'm an active member of rx8club, dsmtuners, and 600RR.net. The RX8 is my Daily Driver although I did drive it last winter with some badass blizzaks. Yes...it's slow in a straight line...I don't care, meet me in the corners.
The 600RR is my toy and if you have a problem with my RX8 not being fast enough the RR can hold it's own.
The 1st Gen DSM I retired, it was tons of fun and made about 380AWHP on a 16G before deciding I was done with the money pit.

Little background info on myself: I worked at Lexus for 3 years as a tech, and I'm now switching professions to become a welder. I've always had interest in working on cars, fabrication, and welding. So I'm kind of covering all of my interests and hope to open my own shop one day doing custom cars, tuning, installs,etc.

Anyway, just joined the forum to get the scoop on parts and the knowledge base. I'm not here to talk shit, so please keep your negative opinions out of my thread.
