I'll be watching this for sure. I would really love to see how it'll pair up against the other cars. I'm surprised SCCA actually let the car contend.
But then again, the car is 5-years out of production and there is FIERCE competition this year. I hope it does well EDIT: I hope the SPEED channel stops being so gay and actually broadcasts these races again. (I miss SPEEDvision )

Just think what other JDM cars will show up if this one is successful. It'll turn into Super GT! A Super GT in English and on TV would be great. Keep dreamin...

Well then maybe he kept the RB26 drivetrain.. that's even better.
Since the RB25 trannies bolt up to the RB26... so too should it work the other way?

Igor can drive, Igor has the parts for the N1 to race, altho for it to be competitive, remains to be seen. Considering all the cars in GT have a HP handicap, I doubt it would be even past 550hp.

Yea, I think it's around 500hp. AutomotiveForums.com has a lot of info on it. Even though it would be nice to see the GTR win, I'll be happy seeing the race. GTR, C6, C5, S4, DB9, Vipers, Porsche TT, GT3, and those turbo volvos.
I can't wait until Sebring |

sebring what a fucken party it is at that track.......... sadly i wont be attending any pro events this year which sucks... cause thats where all the hot chicks are at... but i will be watching how this car takes play in gt... nissan didnt even run its cars in the previous years because of a bad deal that went down hill... hopefully they'll be back either with something new or a better game plan..

it's the old Altair R34 GTR N1 from the super taikyu series. Cars built for that series weren't as fast as the current GT class. Igor has the smallest motor. Even with boost he won't be competitive against the factory teams. I figure him to place in the mid teens throughout the season. BTW they aren't making 500HP, that class is pushing more into the 600 range, and all of the faster cars are making gobs of torque. RBs can't make serious torque like that at low rpms. I want to see them at mosport, and limerock. Maybe he mite shine at those tracks. I6 vs Flat6/V10/V8/V12 he's fighting super tough competition.

Hes got some tough competition for sure. I just don't understand why no one used the car in the past. I'm sure it would have been competitive during its production days. |

Rules state cars would have to be available to the USA. Also no more then 5 years old. the R34 is the exception. Which is why in the TC class acura had to retire the integra, even though it was still faster then the current day RSX(which run the K24 TSX motor just to be somewhat competitive)
