ok so does anyone know if the rear e-brake cables from a 92 hatchback will fit an 89 fastback? thanks

yes they will. The brakes are exactly the same.

great thanks. mine have been gone since i bought the car bout a month ago. found some for cheap. my 240 is the best thing ive ever bought
