I love everything about my car. I originally started w/ the looks, then I fell in love w/ the torque-iness (I previously drove a 1992 Olds 88 ), and then the handling once I got used to her. I love the rarity and the fact that I don't have to be the taxi-cab anymore (although I would love to take a few more friends for a drive in her sometimes).

rwd, 5-speed, Nissan, large 4-cylinder, low, with a long front and short back. Classic sport coupe style. And rare enough so that I still get excited when I see another one on the road.
Now if only I had something for that trashed-out, red neck, glass pack rap, beer can emiting, dip stained Ford F-150 that was messin with me yesterday!

Wow, what reason wouldnt you use as an excuse to buy one! I had to say all of them...I love the rarity..when I see people on the road with modded 240s I go crazy. The chicks TOTALLY dig the car, RWD is the most fun out of any drive type. WAYYY better suspension than my 92 prelude. I LOVE THIS CAR!

RWD and the handling. That's it in a nutshell. I love this car more and more everyday. I was obsessed with my RX-7 but I am loving the 240SX just as much now.

Heh, initially i was looking for a 200sx se-r but the car is abit small and got nothing special to look at... Then i sorta stumbled across a pic of a 97 240sx... the idea of buying a 200sx kinda evaporated right that second So i guess looks, but i love everything in my car.

lucky you....I would trade my 240SX for a 200SX (S-15).
But I guess the closet I can every come to owning one is a front end conversion and engine/tranny swap.

For me it was that combination, gasonline, burnt clutch, damp tweed, burnt out heater core smell that my car has that sold me.
Ah, I love that smell. |

Actually I bought it because it had back seats. And I could fit more groceries than my FD and a set of golf clubs.

My reason is not up there...My car was only $1500 bucks. Also I had my sister's s13 for almost 2yrs and fell in love w/ it but have to give it back to her. Then she decided to sell it and I gave her 1.5k then the 240 was all mine. I loved the handling the best though

So much made me want it. Only a couple in my area and mines the only one with work being done to it.
The looks are great. Sleek, stylish, and sexy. Also 50/50 weight distro, rwd, and good gas mileage all sold me too.

well.....I had a 91 escort (I'll admit it)....and I wanted something better....this left me a lot of options.
My fiance, girlfriend at the time, told me she would leave me if I bought a Honda. I didn't know about the 85-86 corolla, supra and 300z was too much, forget domestics, I had about 3500-5000 to spend, I saw an ad for a Nissan 240sx...looked nice. Nissan was on the approved list, so I went and looked. besides a few external scrapes, pushed in front fender...it looked so damn sexy...I test drove it, and bought it on the spot after a little negotiating...I had no idea it was such a great car! In fact, I had never heard about the 240sx before that day.... besides meeting my fiance.....that was the luckiest day of my life I believe. october 2000...don't remember the exact day though |

Well, I was actually looking for a pathfinder or a frontier, something along those lines and I came across a 240 in the paper. My brother was pushing me to get a sports car cause he said that I'd regret it later on. I was also looking for an automatic cause I thought it was too hard to drive stick. It was actually my mom who forced me to learn to drive standard and I'm glad she did cause i will never buy an auto in my life. Anyways......I decided to check it out so I went to see it and the owner was a total couger and the car looked even better. When I went to take it for a spin I couldnt even get the ting out of the driveway my standard skiils were so bad. I like it too much to let it sell to some other guy so I bought it. 3 years later, I couldnt be happier with the thing, except for an accident i just got into, but thats gonna be fixed by next week so yeah. Just thought I'd share that little tidbit of info with you guys

I actually got the idea to buy my 240 from a friend who drove a 99 Integra Type-R. He told me "I wish that i got a Nissan 240sx, its such a better car" something to that extent. So, i bought one and now im saving up to do the sr20 swap. I couldnt be happier with my car, the looks, the performance, the potential, _RWD_, everything. The 240 just plain rawks.
