how can i remove my old o2 sensor on my KA24E
this thing seem to be stuck here for Yearsss .. any help would be good <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> and is it bad to remove my exhaust heatshield ? thx Fred |

Might use a pry bar to get some leverage on the handle of the wrench to break it loose. Also removing the heat shield should be fine. doesn't really do much anyways. I took mine off of my 90 and had no problems.

yeah, unplug it and get the wrench on there and give it a good hard pull, make sure the right way.
As for the heat sheild. you should probably wrap your manifold so the heat is transfered away from your engine bay, hotter air = hotter intake air. my engine bay gets very hot even with the heat shield, don't want to melt important wires. Also if the heat doesn't go down the pipe as quickly then your cats wont' heat up as fast so that could do something funky.
