RB rb20det questions

i've done some research on my rb... itll run fine then to a certain point it will run like **** it kinda sounds like a boxer engine its misfiring so much...its the ignitor chip which i plan on changing to a j30? chip. is that the best one to use? or which one is the best? also what injectors are interchangeable with the rb20?

As far as RB20's go Electronically not much is really plug an play from other Engines.

You can use an RB25/Z32/J30 ignitor but have to repin and use the new ignitor plugs

same goes for the Injectors they are RB20 specific for OEM plug and play (unless it was a R32 RB25DE)

i plan on running e85 in the future...would 750cc injectors work? i am only wanting 400ishwhp out of this car...i know i need more than just injectors, i need some type of engine management, just seeing if anyone else has used these on e85 before? i've searched and found nothing...if someone has already answered this post a link please!

I had a what sounds like a similar misfire issue. I traced it back to poor grounding of the ignitor. Once those grounds were making a solid connection, I never had another coil pack issue, and never changed the ignitor. My old RB20 setup made 400whp on e85 at 20psi. It was super fun, but extremely laggy. I do not recommend running the same T04E turbo. At that hp/boost level I was maxxing out my walbro 255lph fuel pump. I ran 1000cc modified KA24E injectors, as these were a direct bolt in to the stock fuel rail. High impedance/top feed. For an ecu I ran Apex'i Power FC that was modded for an RB20.

KA24E injectors are identical to stock rb20 injectors.
I have one on my rb20.
