Ka24de bogs/lags

92 twin cam, can rev freely most of the time but occasionally will have a bit of hesitation just from free revving, taking it out to drive there is a big lag from 3k rpm on. It will make it all the way to redline but rpm's climb at the same rate whether i'm fully on the gas or not i'm thinking it is the tps but wanted to be sure that it would cause these symptoms before i pick one up. i cleaned out the maf and the plugs are brand new ngk's cleaned all connectors so it must be a sensor, just trying to figure out which one. would timing cause this by any chance? i tried searching but couldn't find anything too similar, used the troubleshooting guide in the fsm but the only thing i haven't tried was the 02 sensor. any help is much appreciated

Check your timing. I had a similar issue, turned out it was timing related.
