The point is,you can pass smog with any trans
because the trans has nothing to do with smog equipment, beside a flywheel sensor being mounted on later model model trans. I.E. most S14's, and the need for wiring up the trans completely on a OBDII S14. So you do not trigger a check engine light.

Other than that any year trans can be used for the swap. Now please people read the information in the archive and faq section because its all there!
