Thanks for the tips, Pandaroo!!
Definitely going to procure a copper heat-sink. I'm going to give it a shot tonight.

Hey guys, I have been following this guy on Honda-tech for a while and thought I would share with you. Before you flame the H-T reference, read through some of this work.

So I was playing with my bender making some practice bends and I didn't setup my degree ring correctly, so the test piece was 4 degrees over bent. Is there anyway that I can reverse this easily, or would I have to restart the piece?

Id just restart it. I have setup a bender to "un" bend stuff but thats when I over bent over 100 parts lol.
Its always good to get some scrap tube for the size die you have and setup the bends on that. Make a notebook with each size and any "special" things you needed to do to get the bend right. |

Dont know if I mentioned it but I used a buddys pipeline hood with some magical lens.........it was the best view I have ever had in a welding hood. Hood was like $85 and the lens was $10 or $15 bucks. |

Yeah shut up with you and your blue fucking lens... They're fucking amazing. I've used one once. If I knew their value. I woulda "borrowed" indefinitely.
I use a $50 jackson with the big as lens with a #10 gold lens. Best thing ever next to a true blue lens... (Last true blue lens I saw for sale was in the $400 ish range) |

aircraft use these all the time. we call them cam locks. i have always wanted to make my front end cam locked. so it would look nicer then zip tied front ends. I lack the skills or tools to do it.

![]() Funny story I was in the welding shop last week and a kid came in that was just getting into welding. He said he need a hood for school so the guy brought out a few of the jacksons, he took the pipeline style hood out of the box and the kid looked at him and said "that looks like it came out of the 1950s lol I dont want that" then looked at me smiling like I was going to back him up or something. Just laughed it off and shook my head. |

Bought the bender and a 1.5 - 5.5 die today for $570.. I need to build a stand and cant wait to use this fucking thing..
![]() also about the D-Zus / Cam locks .. this is what im using to mount the bumpers to tha bash bars on my buddys drift build. There prety straight forward kind a pain in the ass to get under the bumpers and weld the plates in but its all well worth it. This is the D-Zus type that we used. I get them at $3.40 a set for everything - Self ejecting d-zus / back plate / spring. Just a heads up the self ejecting d-zus use there own back plate. ![]() First thing i did was mark out where i wanted the and then drilled a 7/8 hole so the fit flush. ![]() Then i put the d-zus on there drilled the two holes for the rivets. I also use a small rivet backer washer for some more strength. ![]() ![]() ![]() Then i mounted the back plate to the d-zus and put the bumper on the car lined it all up where we wanted it so i could measure for the plates to be welded to the d-zus spring plate and bash bars. ![]() ![]() ypu can see the plates i made for the d-zus . dont think i took a final picture of the bash bar mount. ![]() the mount i made for the body. ![]() ![]() i will post pics of the front bumper and rear bumper finished and mounted..

never was able to get pics of the manifold i made.
however..... i picked up a 4'x4' trailer which i extended to 4'x8' for the snowmobile. still need to do some more bracing, the deck, and i need to change the tongue(because this one has an extremely pointless bent in it) to a 2"x2" because no one local has 3" square tube in stock for a decent price. also going to change it from 6' to either 7' or 8' just for the extra clearance since the ski's stick up off the front. when i got it: ![]() now: ![]() ![]() ![]() some supports for where it tilts from: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

thanks man
this was all free stuff my dad had laying around at work so i opted to go with free vs $150 worth of materials lmao the front half was some channel and some 1.75x.120 roll cage tubing from a cuda (im not entirely sure why i have it i think i traded for it and realized it was too wide for the 240 or something) |
