I'm going to set up the next weekly battle. I was thinking to do a rally car battle, but decided to go with a GT race car battle instead.

Track:
fuji speedway 2005 GT

Cars:
ANY GT racecar (even prototype GT racecars), NO IMSA or le-mans prototypes (88cv, r89/92cp, audi r8, gt-one, etc...)

Mods:
tires are unlimited
NO engine upgrades

The battle will begin after midnight tonight!

I don't think so, I have a car that I am pretty confident will PWN the JGTC motul 350z. If I was going to run a jgtc car I would use the good ole calsonic skyline. That is my favorite jgtc car of all time.

i like this track except for one thing:

you can use the run-off areas to cut/widen some of the corners. and theres really no way to tell if someone is doing that. my lap was all within the course. i could probably get into the 1.24's if i use the run-offs.


edit: make that 1.25.037 in the viper gt car

it's crazy because in real life i would have never thought a viper could pull such a fast time.
i guess i've had this bias that they're heavy and oversteer a lot but it seems that the boost and weight reduction did wonders for its performance

you think a (fully built, tuned, etc) viper could pull such a (relatively) good time in real life?

nah, not in real life anyways. in the game there is no tire wear and the grip is constant. and i think the performance in the game is sometimes better than real life. just look at the tsukuba times in the game vs. real life, they're way off.

yeah i'd have to agree with that. i sometimes feel the performance in GT4 is Too good. one of the things i notice, i dont know if it's just me, but I feel that the braking ability of the cars is way too good. Many of the cars seem to go from 60 to 0 in a split second.

i think that forza handles physics much more realistically

Remember that our tsukuba lap times are set with racing SS tires though. With sports soft tores our times would be much more realistic. They don't use actual race tires in the official tsukuba time attacks.
