They are obviously trying to "catch up" to Marvel. But they are going about it wrong. Most of Marvel's chars have had a movie or 2 to set up their stories and bring them into the fold. DC is just in panic mode and throwing it all together too fast imo.

^^^No clue why they're fighing. I guess Batman never cared enough to talk out their problems first? I remember Zack Snyder in interviews saying about the Man of Steel movie that they wouldn't be using kryptonite as a weakness for Superman anymore. They evolved that idea into his weakness being duplicating the conditions of his homeworld, where he's a normal person...

I thought the issue with Man of Steel was copy write stuff, hence why they never said "super man, and Kryptonite" etc

that chic would play a good harlequin. But honestly, DC comics have always sucked compared to marvel. Why would the movies be any different. Even as a 10 year old, could never see the hype of batman and superman. Just seemed so lame.

I'm going to go on a limb and say that the world machine in MoS created some elements of Kryptonite. It's possible the government or even Lex Luthor got a hold of it while doing some exploration/investigations.

Also the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy has no tie to this universe. It all kicks off with Man of Steel.
