What to do in Orlando?
I'm going to Florida for my first and probably only time ever in my life next week and was wondering what should I do to make my time spent there worth while? Not going to DisneyWorld would be a good idea I think. I am only going to be there for 3 days and have always wanted to drive on that freeway through the keyes or something like that. What do you guys think, any suggestions from the locals?

Get out a Map and see how far away the keys are....
Have any other interests than driving on the freeway? Bring a coat.

Heh I looked at the map and it says the keys is a 6 hour drive away. I wouldn't really mind a long drive like that since I probably won't be coming back in a long long time. I'm going with my dad, brother, and uncle from overseas so maybe a couple of good restaurants and sights to do the whole tourist thing? I just want to be efficient with my time there and not go someplace I could back home since I'm only there for 3 days. Thanks for the reply S14DB but when you said bring a coat, do you mean rain coat or a regular one? ~60degs is about normal temp where im from, I don't know if that is considered cold in orlando.

Key West is 6 hours away from orlando. I live here. As for orlando, you dont have to hit disneyworld but I HIGHLY suggest going to downtown disney.

I just got into Orlando about 4 hours ago..so the thing I notice the most different is those damn toll booths I thought I would only see in the movies where you have to throw change at it. Hey what happens if you don't have any change? Well enough of that..so downtown disney eh? I'll look into that. So far I have seen two 240's

haha, tourist tax.
Were the 240's rusted out and smoking? There is always I-Drive and Universal Studios. I would stay away from I drive at night cause the Builders conference is in town and it becomes stop and go when they get out..

Welcome to FL man. City walk is a good place to go too. A lot of different types of clubs near each other. Maybe drive an hour and half over to Tampa? You just missed the monthly Nissan meet we have over here. Look up Old Town on the internet, something to do. Umm, shit, just google it. HAHA

Thank you ^^ . Ooo nissan meet eh? i would of fit right in, im driving a pathfinder right now. Heh driving Nissans wherever I go. 4.0L V6 pulls pretty nice. I saw a white fastback with wheels in the Valencia community college parking lot. Anyone here?
S14DB - Heh I haven't seen any rusted out 240s yet but I have seen some impalas and caprices with 24s and 28s....SUVs haha. The streets over here are HUGE..compared to like San Francisco...it feels like I could choku-dori within the lane or something . I am going to head down to Miami and Key West 2m but for tonight, I still have to find something to do. |
