Plugs, Wires, Oil & Filter recommendation

Need suggestions on what brand/type of plugs and wires I should go with on my stock ka24e. Also gonna do an oil change. What brand oil and oil filter are best for the ka?

purolator 20252 is the only filter I run on my KA. Its like 20% larger than an oem one and threads on with no requirements.

What plugs should I go with? I’ve heard go oem NGK coppers, I’ve heard double platinum. Not sure what to go with

Just go with whatever the oem replacement NGK plug is. It's not like your going to notice a difference.

I would run coppers or platinums
I like the purolater 14477 which is a SMALLER filter (sentra)
24457 is the stock filter
some ppl like bigger I personally dont
you can run rotella 10w30 if you are running no cats (very high polymer diesel oil and very cheap)

What benefits would I get from running rotella? Why do you recommend that with no cats?

it has more additives that protect your engine in harsher conditions like an ass wupping at the track vs regular oil
and its made for fleet vehicles so harsh conditions are kept in mind by the ppl who make it. i think additives account for 25%of the bottle where diesel it will be like 33% additives

the big reason it became popular is cause of its zinc content (which may have been diminished in their newer bottles) zinc is really good for protecting from metal on metal contact
its also high in phosporous which idk much about but its good for your engine
and both these things will ruin the catalytic converter

its also usually cheaper to get a jug of diesel vs a jug of even the cheapest 5qt of standard oil

basically the good stuff is slowly getting removed from oil to meet emissions standards. since diesel is a step behind as far as emissions go they tend to be higher in concentrations of things like zinc

zinc ZINC zinc

I’m still a little while out from turning this thing to a track car so I ended up just using 10w-30 yesterday but next time I think I’m gonna go with rotella
