So Amazon had an Alienware Alpha listed yesterday for $189.99.
I order it, $204 taxes and shipped. I get an email today saying my order is cancelled because of a pricing error. I call and they say they are out of stock and the pricing was wrong, so sorry. I send them an email asking what's up and they respond saying its out of stock, check back later. I respond asking if they will honor the previous price. No response yet. In other news, what the hell is up with Dell's pricing. Every day the price on the Alpha and their Alienware laptops fluctuate. The Alpha launched at 499.99 claiming a MSRP of 599.99 over a year ago. Then they dipped down to a standard price of $450-480. Then it was $400 after "$50 off". And two weeks ago $380. Then I saw the Amazon listing for $190, which apparently was bogus and now they are listed for $435. Jesus Christ. Laptops are worse as Dell constantly tweaks pricing by $5-100, and then adds or removes optional hardware and changes the pricing. Yes, a 8gig Ram upgrade for $250... Totally reasonable |

So by next Christmas, 1080 = 420 4K = 720 HDR = the new 1080. That said, I'm eyeballing the +40" 1080s. Mine is 6 years old and has color fade spots, I also don't have $2k for a HDR and it seems like a waste to spend more then $300 on a dying technology. |

As I said last page I was going to buy an $800 smart LED Samsung 60 inch this month
But was not sure.....then I saw Costco sale on them and they took off over $200!
