Word... I was waiting to hear back from uprev to answer that question. Looks like I'll be making another trip down to Z1. But I love those guys.
I'll definitely be looking for your help for wiring in a week or so. If you wouldn't mind, pm me your number if you don't mind texting about it. |

I got my shifter bracket from zfever and the reverse lockout is non existent. The shifter is in its lowest position all the time. Super annoying. But after looking at these pictures, I think I should be able to weld up a plate on the bottom to solve that problem |

Hmm... What codes are they. Who did the flash?
Did you do anything about engine grounds. You will need to add a few. And to the chassis. If its not simply ground or main power, I'd say it is probably definitely nats. There isn't really anything we modify in the swap that would prevent the motor from firing unless you just straight up wired the wrong wires in. |

Any luck on getting the vq started? What are your codes? Before I sent my ECM to uprev to get a flash to remove nats I decided to install it and tried to start my vq. There was no spark and the codes I was getting were p1564, u1000, p0183, p0462, and p0447. With the stock ECM installed and after doing a throttle relearn I was able to make sure the electronic accelerator pedal worked.

Best to send the ecu (send it back? Sorry I only partially read the comments) in to have the nats removed, and send the peddle with it. A few of the shops I talked to REQUIRE the peddle when you send the ecu to them. |

I could help out with wiring. What make, model, and year is your harness and ECM? Oh and was the harness auto?
Thanks Lee My 06 G35 auto harness had these connectors and made it slightly confusing for me to wire up the vq. |

ok it will run and revup and idel... then i cut it off try to start it again and the throttle motor is not working cut it off clear the MIL codes and back to normal next time same thing ???
I think it may have to do with the fact that I dont have the trottle motor (or ECU) Relay wired in (just running them both right to a hot wire) but i cant get em to work I tryed wiring em in. I put the ECU relay in and wired it to wire 111 in on the ground side of the relay but i dont think that it is supplying ground. If I ground the ECU relay wire out on the body the relay clicks tryed wiring a relay in for the throttle motor to the ground on wire 104 and same deal i can only guess that the ECU is not getting ground but I have all the ground wires that i know of grounded???? |

I'm having the exact same problems. The car is ready to go but won't start. 2004 350Z wiring loom and ecu flashed by National speed. I did the wiring myself very close to Dudewutup. I've gotta believe that National speed did it right since they also did Dudewutup's ecu and it works.
No spark. No fuel pump although when I wire the pump directly to 12V to test the pump it works just fine. It's like the ECU won't energize anything. Not sure what to do next. Contemplating my options. 1. Getting a Nisan tech guy over here to look at it but they may not have experience with this swap at all. Not sure how important that is. 2. Sending the wiring to someone and having them trouble shoot the loom to see it the problem is there. 3. Flying someone with experience here to look at it with me. What do you guys think? Best option is? |

ECU relay
[/IMG]
This isn't my first attempt to post a picture on a forum but if it works it would be the first successful attempt. This is the way the 240sx relay needs to be wired for the VQ swap. I wanted to post it so nobody coppies the relay wiring above. |

Drat -- I still can't post pictures. Not bad with mechanical things like cars. Not so good with computers. Sorry.
If you want the relay schematic, PM me and I will send it. |

Update
did this all 4 months ago trying to back track and get the thread up to date wilh the car
Well it took me over 4 months to get all my parts from Chase Bays for there VQ 240SX fuel line kit. and then it did not fit and did not come with evey thing you need like it says on the web site. Big fat waste of money. Buy some -6AN Braided SS line get like 30 feet for the return line and feed line then some left over for you power steering line i wil get to the power steering later in the thread. I used a Fuel Lab FPR you will need -6AN Male to Male union fittings X3 -6AN Fuel filter x1 -6AN 90 deg. Female to Female fitting x1 -6AN 45 deg. Female hose end x 2 -6AN straght hose fitting x2 -6AN to 1/8" NPT 90 Deg. Male To Male -6AN Fuel Rail Delivery Adapter for SR RB this is best found on Ebay you can get it with a 1/8 NPT barb or a straight 1/8 NTP to -6AN Male but it hit my fire wall that is why i have the 90 deg. fitting listed above buy this stuff and evey thing will fit good (better then me) and save you money and time i got every thing off Ebay for now i bent the stock hard lines to come up threw the small opening in the side of the fender next to the wiper motor i will replace the hole line with -6AN soon i do not like the fuel line being next to the pass side header this is the part that Chase Bays sent after 4 months i know i could have made this fit but i did not like the idea and for $18.00 i could get somthing that fits right and looks better i did not use this this tube just used it to show the fitment i put the adapter on the back off the fuel rail I pulled my fuel take to get all the Old Crapy 87 Octane out New daily 2011 2SS got it with 4k on it. it had never been sold. it was a pace car at Texas Motor Speedway cut mufflers off they weighted 40ib each sorry i know this is not a Camaro forum.... |

I do believe i know what is wrong with my car. I am real close to having this thing on the road. However, with the holidays and then right after Christmas i was in a bad wreck and am OK I still am not getting around to good and do not feel like working on the 240. I will get going again in the spring when it is not so cold and am feeling better. sorry |
