s13 SR idle trouble

When i coast to a stop the car jus shuts off like theres no suc thing asan idle. If i engine brake all the way untill 1000 rpms then itll sometimes idle at about 800 but then start bouncing and eventually idle at about 1300 or if its acting up really bad itll go to 2000. But then when i put it in gear itll drop down to either 800 again or just die. Im also throwing code 43 on the ecu which is tps. I cant get a signal going through the tps so i cant even set it. Ive tried 2 different ones. One manual and one automatic. Now one of my questions is...

Does it make a diffeence that i have an automatic harness and a manual ecu? Should i just make everything manual since i have a manual car?

Im so stumped because i even hardwired the tps straight to the ecu. Still no signal. Ive also tried cleaning the throttle body and inside the manifol with throttle body cleaner. I tried to reach the iacv but i dont kno how well that worked. I kinda dont want to take the iacv out because its such a pain. But i think thats my next step as well.

But does anyone kno why i cant get the tps to work or get signal? Im not 100% sure either tps works. But im 100% sure wiring is right for bot connectors.

Post your wiring schematic for the TPS.
It does make a difference, if you're just plugging and playing, but if you rewire that which is necessary no. huh? what i'd just say?

Couple of questions... Do we know the ecu is functioning correctly? Is everything wired correctly? Vented BOV? Any Vacuum, Boost leaks? Is timing correct? etc.?

ok the automatic tps is wired correctly because the harness is an automatic. With the manual tps i spliced together the green/red(5v reference), white(signal), and black(ground). the timing was set to 15 degrees advance. My bov is recirculated. No vacuum leaks that i found. I did find my gasket between the turbo and manifold to not be sealed fully. So i have that gasket coming soon. But i really just want to kno why im throwing code 43 and i cant get signal.

Your throwing the code 43, because you cant get a signal!-
Make sure it's to the right pin, (20) and check the wire for continuity. Is the TPS getting power and sending a signal? Test with multimeter. Make sure you clear codes each time you check them.

Turn the diagnostic screw, full clockwise and hold for 3-5 sec, then turn back full counter clockwise. Then check to make sure the codes have been erased.

We need to make sure the TPS works. Are you getting power from pin 37, lgr/r spliced with red? White is signal pin 20. black is ground

If you hard wire these in they go to and fro,the ecu make sure the pins are seated correctly. For testing only, I would use a different ecu controlled 5v source.

To test with multimeter, take the red probe plug it into the signal wire (W) coming from TPS. Take the black probe plug it into the black pin or body ground. read voltage. This is for a TPS/w plug connected.

If your still having trouble, might be wiser to get a manual TPS.

ok i have power.. from the 5v green/red. and my ground is good because i read 12v when i go from the positive battery terminal to the ground. If i have both of these does that mean i have a bad tps if i get no signal at all?

I can't say that!
Test the tps with the multimeter... Who, said SAFC's are good for nothing?

My bad, I thought you tested the power from the ecu and then the- posts on the battery.
OK while testing, the tps check the other wires of the auto TPS, see if any of those have a signal. Maybe the auto harness has been rewired? If you can't get a signal on the other wires and continuity checks out, I'd say the tps is bad.

Check the signal on the MAFS to confirm you can get a reading.
