What is causing this noise?
I'm trying to determine what is causing this grinding/scraping/rattling noise in my S13. Please take a look at the video and let me know your thoughts if you could.
It seems to do it around 1000rpm, both on acceleration and deceleration. It can also do it at higher rpms but it seems most prominent at that lower rpm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kAEmrkX55M Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! After messing around a bit, it looks like the heat shield above the cat was loose and would rattle at certain rpms. I jammed it up a bit and now the noise is gone.
Any issues with removing that thing all together? MW |
