I'm curious on how much whp you made on the Dyno with stock cams? Also, what Dyno was it tuned on? I'm really looking at the GT2871r .64ar as my next turbo, As of now I have t28 with tomei poncams, and tune on E85. Was able to make 295whp/332lbft, on a conservative tune, on a Dyna pack dyno. I need bigger turbo! |

Just make sure you have a metal head gasket and big enough injectors to take advantage of the increased flow of the GT2871R. Otherwise, you will just be sacrificing response. |

Buddy of mine got his S14 tuned yesterday.
Had it tuned by Koji Arai, at auto talent. Mods list: -fresh built bottom end (stock compression) -Arp head studs -APEX'i 1.1 metal HG -tomei 260 cams (hydraulic) -Freddy intake manifold -GT2871r .64 A/R 52 trim -E85 It made 366whp, 308tq at 16psi. Clutch started to slip after 17psi, so we need to put a new one in for future re-tune. This was on a Dynapack dyno. I'm pretty sure when we go back for re-tune at 20psi it should make near 400whp. |

Really nice! I love you're tq gain! After 6k it drops really nasty, a pair of JWT S3 cams would be perfect. That way you get a nice consistent power band all the way to redline. Looks good though. |

Nice numbers with stock cams. Best bolt on turbo for sr20. I have one for sale if anyone is interested.

Yep, that huge falloff is very indicative of lack of flow (particualrly in the head).
In all honesty, a set of JWT S4 (NOT S3) would be more beneficial IMHO. The talk (from what I see) of it losing lower end torque is not entirely founded and even without degreeing makes power everywhere and more than the S3 cams. Made 35+ WHP peak my setup and 20+WHP (using S4 cams on a T3/To4E) everywhere else over stock cams without degreeing |

Question how does enthalpy feel about your air fuel ratio? Did he get to see the dyno results?

Yes I plan on getting some cams and running E85 in the future.
Cotbu, we got the afrs straightened out to pretty consistent between 11.5 to 12, the ones shown were on the first few pulls. |

It's good thinking but not really necessary if it's not touching, as that's the low pressure side and returning to the compressor

just wrap your ac hose with heat insulator (it's called armaflex here, i don't know over there)... it doesnt burn, and your piping will stay cool. you can wrap it more than one ply if you want. just use metal fixings, not plastic cable ties obviously. some stainless wire will do the job. we used to use it on intercooler hoses too, it really makes a difference.

I already wrapped the hose in that type of material, I just want to do it right the first time I can get a godspeed blanket for 40$ shipped and supposedly there blankets are awesome for the price plus I heat wrap the manifold and elbow
I also have to heat wrap the dump tube |
