Broken Wheel Lock HELP!
Im not sure if this is the right area to post this please move if u feel necessary...
Yesterday i was about to take my front wheel off so i could put my new boots for my tie rods on. Then as im trying to take off the wheel lock lug nut the lock breaks (the little design on the inside of the wheel lock key). So now i cant take my wheels off and im looking for any ideas of how to get it off or what i can do. All comments are welcome Thanks, Brett

theres a tool for that. its pretty expensive.
Amazon.com: Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-3050 Locking Lug Nut Remover Kit: Home Improvement or you can just go to a shop and have them brake off the lug nut. or if you dont mind sacrificing one of your sockets. get like a 19mm or what ever is the closest fitting socket that you can hammer on top.

Hammering on works, iv done it... if its craftsman you dont lose anything... Or if you have a welder you can weld a bar and break it off, but be careful it can make your problem worse. xplicit240 has the best approach id say.

since most us use metric socket, just sacrifice a standard socket. That what I usually do, get something close in size and slam it in there with a hammer and then remove. If it is craftman and breaks just take it back to sear and get another one.
