SoCal 1995 240sx Kouki Front
SOLD!!!SOLD!!!SOLD!!!
1995 240SX Emerald Green paint Black Kouki front end Title in hand (not sure if it is clean...please see second paragraph of car history) 189,xxx miles (don’t know how accurate this is since the car had a non-original SE cluster when I bought it) Car history as I know it: I bought this car in 2006 and it was my first S chassis. I bought the car from a used car lot in Garden Grove and it was mostly stock with only Injen short ram, tokico blues, welded diff and tein springs. It was originally 4 lug and it seemed to have good paint which now I can see was a cheap paint job since it is mostly oxidized. Had a drifting accident when I first got the car because I was dumb and thought I was a drift king. Basically drifted it into a curb. All the damage was to the suspension. Replaced right front tension rod(oem), both rear camber links(kazama), both rear toe links(kazama), and wheels. Drove the car happily for a few years after learning my lesson about drifting on the street. One day while the car was parked, some dumbass didn’t realize he was trying to park in the same spot that my car was already in. By the time he realized my car was there, he slammed on the gas instead of the brakes and rammed my car from behind and pushed the front end under a patio. The damage was basically the back end was pushed in about 4-5 inches. This caused the left rear fender to buckle. The front end had damage to the hood and the tops of the fenders. Car was totalled by the insurance company of the other driver (not sure if the title is now salvaged since I never reported it to the DMV and each year there is nothing different with registration). Since the car was still perfectly driveable, I bought the car back from the insurance company (it actually never left my possesion) and used the rest of the money to buy another S14. There is another story with that car, but eventually the front end from that kouki made it to this car along with the eibach sportline springs, front and rear knuckles with the 5-lug hubs, se wheels, and black interior. Maybe another year later, my wife was driving the car and left something on to drain the battery. Got it jumped, but did not close the hood all the way. Hood popped up on the freeway cracking the windshield and making waves on the roof. Hood was replaced with a carbon fiber one. Other parts have been upgraded here and there... Drivetrain: -Engine sourced from a ‘97 and rebuilt ~30K miles ago using all stock pieces and standard sized bearings and rings -New timing chain and tensioners during rebuild (no chain slap) -New OEM excedy clutch, spring, and TOB during rebuild -New dual electric fan set up with automatic thermostat switch during rebuild (generic fans; has never overheated on me) -New fuel filter during rebuild -Oil changes every 3K miles -Open differential with Energy Suspension front bushings -New Magnaflow Cat installed ~1 year ago -Unknown short shifter -Tranny oil recently replaced with Mobile 1 75w 80 -3rd gear syncro is getting worn (3rd will grind if you put it in too fast when warm) Suspension/Brakes: -Eibach Sportline springs -Tokico Blues -Kazama RUCA -Kazama rear toe links -Front Z32 aluminum 26mm calipers powder coated orange and recently rebuilt -Front SS conversion brake lines -Stock S14 brake booster and BMC -After market inner tie rods with spacers(can’t remember what company) -Energy Suspension steering rack bushings and clamps -SE wheels -Alignment performed ~2 years ago -New tires bought ~2 years ago plenty of tread left Interior: -Black/gray and good condition -No cracks on dash -SE gauge cluster -1997 confetti cloth interior -OEM floor mats -Tenzo gas pedal -Drift e-brake knob (anodized bronze) -Pioneer head unit CD player with detacheable face -Pioneer Ipod module (Has full ipod connector, not USB) -Pioneer/Sony Xplod front 4.5” and rear 6x9” -Ebay fake MOMO steering wheel -Works Bell steering wheel adapter Exterior: -Carbon fiber OEM style hood only ~2 years old -Front USDM kouki bumper (black paint, has some damage) -USDM kouki headlights (inner mounting portion is broken and jerry rigged) -Kouki corner lights (tabs broken off) -OEM kouki fenders (black paint) -Cracked windshield (mostly on the passenger side and does not interfere much with driver visibility) -Rear window tint is very old, purple and bubbling -Roof panel has waves in it from hood popping up -Left rear quarter panel has a buckle from accident (see car history) -Rear bumper cover and support pushed in ~4-5 inches mostly on the left side -Trunk is slightly pushed in and flies open if you make an aggressive turn. Also looks like its slightly open when its closed. -Rear bumper has some paint damage Well on to the photos: Here some of the rear end damage: I place a folded up towel here so that the trunk doesn't flop around so much Here is one showing the windshield damage: The car was my daily driver until recently when I bought another S14; it is mechanically stout. The CEL is on and I believe the knock sensor or harness may be at fault, haven't really looked deeply into it. Otherwise it runs very strong. This would be a perfect project for someone that knows body work or it could become somebody's drift mule. If I had a place to park it I definitely would keep it and make it into a race beater. Price: $3000.00 Location: South Orange County - Mission Viejo area Last edited by mxexux; 03-31-2012 at 05:25 PM.. Reason: Car is sold |
