Which coilovers to get for track drift car--had a few sets before now want a good set
Hello all i have had a few drift spec s13's with stance, tein and apexi coilovers. Now with the car i have I had just sold me tein super drifts, and would like some professional feed back from any ppl who race their car hardcore and what not..I dont need to spend 4 k on coil overs but want a high quality unit that will fit my needs, the car is being prepped as full track drift car so i dont mind having a good set of coilovers. I also have many other suspension pirces going on the car so everything is pretty much replaced along with a cage put in.

See, you cant really ask whats the best. It all comes down to personal preference and how its setted up. I mean, you can throw $4k on some ZEAL/AST/OHLINS or whatever quality coilover, not one of your regular run of the mill coilover, if its not set right, you'll probably hate it.
Best coilover is something thats customized for YOUR own preference...that means changing spring rates and valving to meet your needs. |

Well I am running Dmax and tried them out last week. I am pretty happy with them. I have run tein, JIC flt-a2 and a1, Gab coils and some mix and match sets. I am hapiest so far with the Dmax set, nice spring rates and can actually tell when I adjust the dampening. Not sure if that helps at all or if you can get them but there you go.

There are a few sets of Ohlins coilovers on Up Garage you can get through a couple of different people on this forum (~1300). They can be revalved in any way you want them to be done.
Moton makes a set up for our cars (~4000), Bilstein apparently makes a set up in Japan (~3500), you can get a custom set up of Koni race shocks with custom housings and spring rates (~1500), or you can go with the KWs (~2000). Greddy makes a set of 4 way adjustable coilovers now, not sure on the quality of the adjustments but they're selling for around 1600 in Japan.
