Its a PHONE..i dont know how to use spellcheck on it and im not writing a book so why the sudden focus on grammar instead of the real points of the convo?..o no i shortened the word now it cant be read aahhh...this site has tons of bad spelling and grammar all over it.."U" is universally short for you..LOL is incorrent grammar and punctuation but who is really anal enough to write laugh out loud..its a turbocharger not a turbo but thats not really a point..usually this kind of thing becomes the focus when somebody wants to say something negative without knowing what else negative to say in my opinion..just what ive seen on other posts..obviously what i said was clear enough to respond to even negatively so if u dont understand something im sry my incorrect grammar keeps u from being helpful with the turbo question and causes an obligation to school me in english which is full in discrepancies and loose ends as it is due to being an adaptation of other languages so really its ALL incorrect grammar when looked at as a form of legit communication over the course of time..good thing nobody can see me or next it would be my hair or skin is the wrong color

If im such an idiot that means u are arguing with one so whats that make u?..standing up for myself and attempting an explanation in the face of raw prejudice is just something i have to do and im not expecting to gain respect from those who dont respect that..all i did was ask a question if the answer would have been given without the demand of "sell your car and buy a cheap honda" i wouldnt have to metaphorically fight for the right to own what i own..heres what i got..reclock turbo maybe?(no explanation given on this when i asked as if everyone knows how to automatically and never asked anyone or were told how themselves)..and dont use godspeed even in emergencies cuz everyone will hate u and not help with anything..im going to drive this car sideways once again even though everyone wants to keep me from doing so and when i get there i will try hard to help others when they ask how to get there themselves and do my best to be a helpful resource and maintain an understanding of those who are still on their way and just need some help getting there..FTW..o my bad FUCK THE WORLD HAHA

Ok so it looks like the turbo just needs reclocked so thumbs up to the guy who said that in the beginning..i should have immediately investigated that solution before getting emotional about the dissing..double apologies..but hey it was fun right haha

Hats off to u then el griego and apologies for the offense..i have a variable oil restrictor now so i can tune it for any wanted flow rate without it being unrestricted too much..the t28 i got with the car had a restrictor but the turbo was on its way out already anyway it was a matter of time im not the one who wore it out and the second turbo was the same way i bought it just as a way to have the car mobile and ended up using it more than expected since the first one never got finished as planned..if more people followed the example of el griego giving legit advice first with an attitude second then all this BS arguing would be nonexistent..but i guess that would ruin all the fun for the shit starters who having nothing better to do now wouldnt it..double props el griego

Ok nevermind the props then..its a custom part that i had made with a needle valve by a custom turbo fabricator for different turbo interchanges..as u know not all turbos and oil systems require the same pressure due to different feed line setups and oil pressure in general hence the restrictors..they are not available online and i dont think many people have them..all turbos have an optimum feed rate but just using any old restrictor does not guarantee the perfect working order of the turbo..or maybe u just dont have the mechanical knowledge to understand haha..jokes jokes

However I will say I just don't understand how one gauges with only a set screen what the proper flow restriction is...

Im not an expert but ive been told by some that too much oil will cause turbo failure and smoking due to back-up issues and it causes the oil to burn and i forgot the rest of the tech talk on the situation..i also know that too little is bad for obvious reasons..different turbos take different restrictions on the oil according to what ive been reading...(this info was all accumulated by me and is just what i was told or have read so plz dont be too critical since im quoting others here)..so a needle valve in the restrictor allows for the same part to be used on more than one turbo..adjusted for max oil flow before smoking starts..i just measure flow based on how much runs out the dump tube over 30 seconds..o and it was suggested i buy a turbo off the classifieds here and a link was posted for a 600$ setup and the guy was saying i should consider that option..please read the info b4 u send it to me that turbo is in california and will not be shipped so what am i sposed to do drive all the way up there to maybe get scammed?..dont think so and im not saying the classifieds arent a good source of parts but if yer gona try and use a link to reflect my poor buying choices then at least make it a real example thats really available..i could probly get a great price on turbos if i move to japan but that doesnt make it an option..as i said before the new turbo was cheap and is used as a "spare tire" for the moment..its on the car now and works great for that function so the car can be moved in and out of the shop while waiting to get a nice garret t28 or have mine rebuilt..if i was paying for labor this wouldnt be too practical but im doing the work myself and having the car running and mobile is more priority to me than letting the car clog up my shop while i save for a nice turbo and in the meantime something else breaks on another car and i gotta fix it out in the cold

A needle valve on your turbo oil feed is not rocket science, and you've probably got it adjusted wrong based on not knowing how to clock a turbo.
Put a 0.060" restrictor in the line since it's likely a journal bearing, and let it be. I've sold lots of S14/S15 T28's on here for <$450, so you're a tard if you can't find one for a similar price.
