1jzgte s14 smoking. Please help.
Hey guys,
So i recently purchased my s14 with a blown motor(spun rod bearing). I went to Miami bought a used long block from JDM of Miami and put everything back together and now the damn thing is smoking. could be your head gasket, or a crack in the water jacket.. white smoke usually has to do with your head gasket. have you tried to drive it like that if so, have you lost any power ?

looks like a blown HG. when you put it back together did you torque all the bolts down to the right specs? did you replace HG with metal head gasket?
Edit: im assuming or atleast I hope you did new water pump/timing belt. |

yeah its the ports around the cylinders.. but thats worst case .. considering you just put it in im pretty sure its your head gasket. theres no telling how long these motors sit, some time you get lucky an there's no problems on start up.
