General under the hood temp question
In general, how crucial is it to keep the temp. in the engine bay low during drifting/autoxing event?
In my poor knowledge, it looks like an oil cooler plays a way bigger role than a hood spacers and hood vents. LIke 1) stock hood (no vents for the hot air to escape) VS 1/2" hood spacers 2) 350z TS ll hood VS stock hood 3) TS ll hood and 1/2" spacers VS stock hood.

Get a water temp and oil temp gauges, monitor them and recognize when you have to let the car cool down. Keep the water temp below 100 and oil below 110. If it gets up there, just drive the car around a bit or park it to let it cool down.
