well looks like I have to cancel the plans on the S13 since the commander just passed a letter saying that drifting is illegal up here now...... Fuck this place now.

Its like fucking Kadena all over again. On a curfew and no tracks....

the Commander for this base signed a letter banning tracks, cuz fucktard kids are doing stupid shit and killing themselves with subarus on the streets....

Been busy lately just not that busy on the GTR

Installed the Tomei Steering wheel a while ago

Bought a second HKS GT-SS turbo for about $150 but needs a rebuild :/

Guess I got kinda a ARC theme going on so I guess I'll try to stick with it maybe.

Picked up this beat up ARC intercooler pretty cheap, Gonna try and see if I can fix it up a little bit

Had to work last weekend and decided to make the best of it

It's a Kei truck. Mid/Full size flat bed trucks are not popular in Japan. These are way cheaper to own and maintain. Very popular with the farmers

Skyline looking clean man! One tip I learned is when waxing on darker cars, don't go in circles it creates swirls, go with the way the car was painted front to back lines.. Cool truck to man

Got in the ARC intercooler, but needs a bit more work than expected

Bought some brazing rods to try and repair it.
Works pretty good on IC piping, an actual IC not so much, trying to heat up a cooler designed to dissipate heat is pretty hard. I need a Oxyacetylene torch or a jet heater to heat up the core to get it hot enough to braze.

waiting on another set of Brazing rods to arrive and use of a hotter heat source so i can finish repairing the Core.

Snow is near though, Maybe I can finally finish the RB this winter.

and also sold my Subaru B4 for a 4WD Y33 Nissan Cedric with an RB25DET

Gonna VIP it for the wife. Already picked up a suspension setup for it

I see a lot of these on the base here in Yokosuka (a WHOLE lot, way more than Silvias). People are buying them up because of the 25-year rule thing.

About that "no drifting" rule in Misawa... does that only apply to military, or to civilians too?

I'm a USCS civilian working at Yokosuka, and I'm trying to figure out if they could ban drifting here too... I go drifting a LOT at the Fuji Speedway drift course...

The ban only applies to Military Members. Don't think they can ban civilians.

lol Domo, yeah I didnt know as well until a few months ago when I was looking for another 4WD car to replace the Subaru

Yeah the Kei truck is fun, not very fast but nice to have a truck. Probably the only Honda I will ever own

Can you see a noticeable upward trend in the cost of early BNR32s over there? I wanted an '89 to replace my old one but my importer told me its not worth it, cost is significantly more than a '93/4.

And lastly, is the BNR32 Vspec/VspecII a very rare sight over there?

Yeah from the Local dealerships around the base they are ridiculous, 12K+ for a R32's and some are like 93-94 and rusted out.

Online dealers that dont really deal with Americans are not bad, they can he ad from 5K-14K depending on mods and condition.

Yeah up here Ive yet to see a V-Spec/II, some N1's but thats it. Im sure father down south there are more common.

Its sad, I paid next to nothing for my June 1990 build back in 2010, I sold it recently cause of university but I graduate in 2 years and inquired about buying another one then. Importer said "uh oh" haha. The price of stockfish 89-90s already in Canada has gone up from 6-8k to like 10-12, where they were back in 2006ish.

Heres to hoping I can secure a 1993 for less than 10 when I finish school. Anyways, carry on! One of my favourite build threads on the site, it just so happens you're well versed with these cars and not a dickhead about them, so I have many questions hahaha

But did go down to Nismo Festival at Fuji Speed way this weekend and was one of the Lucky Few-ish to obtain one of the R35 Super GT Wheels.

Sure I cant use it but will make a great Coffee Table haha
