Ive just got a new LSD but it has the 5 bolt shafts and my s14 has the 6 bolt shafts and i was wondering who knew how to swap them out and how hard it is?

Should've payed attention to the details before ordering/buying a differential with different axle stubs.

Is you old differential an LSD? What differential did you purchase?

its in my 96 SR20DE Kouki and the facotry one is the 6bolt factory open diff and i have bought a r33 lsd which has the 5 bolt shafts and i need to swap them over

You need the 5bolt axles for that diff to work. Swapping axle stubs does nothing for you.

Weld the diff and call it a night.

I would LOVE to weld it, but i don't earn enough money to run a daily driver with a locky

if im correct the splines dont match up right on a 5 bolt as opposed to a 6 bolt one.

Not to mention different lengths. You cannot swap your open diff stubs into the R33 or vice versa. This is why I said you should've done your research before purchasing a part for your car.

Go to the junkyard and dig around for some J30 axles, those are your only hope now.
