You know what little romeo or who ever that was playing in the F&F Tokyo drift said that an s15 was the Mona Lisa of the drift world and that is correct the s13-s15 is the mona lisa of the drift world and that is east and west coast they sell for 10-20 grand. That is crazy money. You will get a good deal in the mid west southern states plus no rust to mention of. No were near the money they bring elsewhere. My s14 zenki with 150,000 miles, leather, auto was 4500 and I thought that was expensive.

well im down hear in florida and there not that outragous. I saw one with 65,000 miles on orgionaly wanted 7 then droped down to 5,000 or 5,000 red mint and stock. I would get on auto trader and search down hear or somthin and check the prices, there are ones that have been highly moded that ive seen posted up for a crazy 25g's or more. But really its all about being paticent and waitin untill the time is right.

Florida 240s are still relatively cheap, I picked my base 96 up with 85k on it for 2800 a year and a half ago, and I have a friend that bought his 95 SE for 3800 with 92k

It's seem like for the same price you could buy a RHD one nowadays Oh hell for 9800 dollar S14 I could buy a clean E36 M3 complete BS the way people are thinking. 240's are NOT gold, it's a car.And for people who are selling built 240's for like 20 grand I'd buy something eles for that much

kbb fails for 240's
if the person knows what they are truly selling you are already screwed plain and simple notice all the ones people have picked up cheap are from older people I paid 5.5k for my 95 / 120k / manual / base... it was modified a bit but fairly stock

as far as supply goes I can personally say from experience that alot of former honda ricers are moving to 240's in my area because prices have dropped to the point where they can afford a primered, fart can equipped hatch with molded side skirts from one of those horrific "invader" body kits or some shit like that.<true story, I see it (and hear it) at my retard neighbors across the street from me. They also own a 72 mustang, yellow, with a sticker in the back that says "camaro's (or chevy, cant remember) worst nightmare", the even sadder part is that it doesn't run and they cant even afford trash cans second example is an s14, YELLOW! with purple lightning type stripes down the side also with one of those shitty body kits except this one is the whole kit, best part of this story is the first time I saw it it was parked in front of a bank :ghey: please, thank christ that 240's haven't gotten that bad in your area yet |

I was going to read all the comments, then I realized this question has been asked like a million times.
1. pay the price and don't bitch 2. beat up the old guy and steal his 3. keep searching, you will find a deal. Yes due to the craze of drifting and sr's the prices have gone up, and people (some) are stupid enough to pay some of the outrageous prices. That's why people keep doing it. The ones that don't know about the "craze" usually sell them for dirt cheap. They are fun cars, a lot of people enjoy them but NO THEY ARE NOT A COLLECTOR CAR. There is way too many of them and they only mean something to the person that owns them. To prove my point: I would beat the shit out of someone if they sat on, scratched, messed up my 240 but a lot of people would look at me like I'm crazy when I get mad about that stuff. Okay I'm done.

i saw baltimore and got excited i've been trying to find some zilvians to meet up with but there arent that many here. as far as the 240s go ive found quite a few around the baltimore area anywhere from 300 to 6000 but it all depends on year mileage and all that whatnot.

lol i was driving to work a few days ago and this old lady (probably mid 40s) was driving an s14 kouki red automatic, she looked at me and smiled and i said what the hell and i gave her the thumbs up! Then we parted ways in a fashionable manner. Was weird, but cool at the same time lol.

The first reply says it all.
There's ONE 240SX (S13) at a dealer for sale in my town. It's an 89, single-cam, automatic, fart pipe, and whacked out paint job for 2.8K. Eff that! Moncef |

but if you're in the market for an s-chassis you have to be patient grasshopper. i was about to buy a hatch with rusted deck lid and rusted front strut towers and the next day, found a coupe in NC for 2 weeks paycheck and no rust. also feel this out. if you see a s-chassis you want, don't be skurred and go make them an offer even if there's no for sale sign on the vehicle, you never know. i always have turds who watch tokyo drift trying to offer me shit for my car. |

truthfully ive always loved 240sx's but i was one of those kids that had a half dozen turbo hondas. and people never looked twice at my cars that ive invested thousands into. not ricers. i had a few big hp hondas. but when the time came that i wanted to go rwd and i picked up my first 95 240sx. all i did was sr swap suspension and wheels and i got crowds wherever i went. it was funny. last summer i really realized it when i pulled into a local parking lot for a huge import meet. must have been 100 hondas, subarus and all kinda jdm cars. n i think half the show came around my car. becuse i was the only 240 there

Eh, I don't know if its all true about the prices in total skyrocketing.
in 05 I sold my modified S13 for 9k. Chassis had maybe 180k, but rebuilt sr, new turbo, power fc, coils, wheels lsd etc etc. Now I see allot of highly modified SR's for less or the same. I think there is a "base price" adjustment for all the entry level kids, but if you have the dime you can get a near complete drift car for 10-17k. WHICH IN ALL HONESTY IS CHEAPER THAN YOU COULD BUILD IT, REMEMBER THAT.

didnt read the whole post but i think another cause is drifting, cars get smashed and what most guys do is switch their gear to a new shell. the smashed shell goes to the junkyard.

My buddy just found a 93 coupe last night in mint condition, low milage and loaded for $1,300 out the door. It was at a stealership. It had a few minor engine problems, but they are fixable and he was able to drive it off the lot. And that' in San Diego (SOCAL)
