found some cool 15x8s on craigslist for spares

don't ever run these GT Radial tires for drifting, they fall apart.

Update:: I have not been driving in events to save money and payoff all my debt marathon style with everything I've got. The car has been stock KA for 14 months now and it's still perfect. I am replacing the clutch in my truck then I will probably be drifting in Lone Star Drift Round 3 at Houston Police Academy

Alright, so after lots of deliberation... I sold the S13 and bought a 2003 350Z.
I will be fixing some things on the 350Z and then running Lone Star Drift TXSL next year. I will start a new build thread soon.

Before this event, I was still having weird idle issues and after shorting out a wire to my ignition switch causing the car to sit with no battery for 2 weeks, all of a sudden my car would die every time I pressed the clutch while I was not stopped. When I stopped idle would come up to a low idle of 500rpm and shake the whole car. This was super frustrating and forced me to finally buy something every 240sx owner should have, a consult scanner that plugs into a laptop. I bought the EEEKit from Amazon and I'm using the free Conzult software that came with it to read my sensor outputs and timing, RPM, etc to fix these phantom issues I have been having and once I got the scanner, the solutions came fast.

The consult scanner said my O2 sensor signal was 0.0v..... and my TPS was adjusted wrong.

Any more info on the consult scanner you used? I looked up EEEkit and the only thing that came up was a link back to this thread. I have a 92 coupe that was originally auto, but the previous owner swapped in a manual S14 Ka, and kept the S13 intake, exhaust manifold, Pair system, etc. Does the consult scanner only work with OBD2 cars or should it work with my setup?

I ended up finding it, thank you. I didnt realize that the consult port and OBD ports are 2 different systems.
I really liked your simple KA setup, and I'm going to keep mine for awhile and finish building the rest of the car first. Why did you end up deciding to go back to a 350z? I know TXSL has the rules about keeping stock injectors, turbos, etc, but why not SR swap the S13 since thats allowed.

I have been overbuilding cars for 10 years, I really wanted something as simple as possible. It's getting harder and harder to find KA24 parts and 240 parts in general, also AC in an s13 is becoming harder each year. An SR20 swap is expensive and I don't want to have SR20 problems, I would have done a 1JZ swap again, but thats $8,000.... This 350Z was effictively $2980 after I sold some parts off of it. My total investment will be like $6,000 and this will be a car capable of podiums in TXSL, I have no desire for more power than a stock DE with bolt-ons. My s13 was fantastic but I think I have made the best choice for myself to get as much seat time as possible and actually drive every event Lone Star Drift hosts in 2020 (except Texas Motor Speedway because of the roll cage rules of that facility)

Yea, Im originally from Ca where 240 parts are still plentiful, and being out here for the past 4 years has been a constant search for parts. So I get that aspect.
My brother has a 350 and loves its, im just not a fan of the asthetics of them. However, that is a really cheap price for a solid chassis that will be competitive in TXSL.
Looks like I'll be stuck here a couple more years, so I'm purchasing a truck to hopefully make it out to some events this year.

Alright so I got the car back in the exact same condition 9-26-19
I have been street driving it alot and its great, still no issues since assembling it in March of 2018.
I am selling my 350Z in order to do a 1J swap on this car again using a 350z transmission and a serial nine shifter
