240sx RB25det build!!! Lots of pictures!!
Hey guys I just got my first 240sx. I am 17 years old and i have a big passion for drifting, so what better car to get then this one. Here are some pictures of the car the day I bought it. I got the car for 500$ (Canadian). The problem with the car, well there was something wrong with the transmission. but for 500$ I thought it would make a great project car as 240sx are one of my favorite cars. Here are some pictures, Now I do warn you WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE MIGHT CAUSE YOU TO PUNCH A LOVED ONE.

This is some of the pictures of the interior and how bad it is.
Its in KM's And this touch screen is basically what I payed for when I bought the car. And I forgot to post this, because I swear every 240sx project car has this same exhaust problem.

So I hated seeing this car in such poor condition I wanted to clean it up ASAP.
Here are some pictures of the interior clean up. Shitty drivers seat (as usual) Good passenger seat. All clean!

Okay, so like I said the car had a transmission problem (and others). So the we had to tow the car to my house. So I wanted to figure out the problem so I jacked the car up as high as i could to get the car sitting on wheel stands. Here are some pictures.
So I was using my jack as a helper so that the transmission didn't fall on me. So by the time I got the transmission unbolted it was like 1:30 in the morning. So I decided to leave it till morning. So in the morning I pulled out the transmission. So after lunch I wanted to get to the bottom of this problem. I started taking the transmission apart. So I got all the gears out and wanted to make sure that all the shift forks were good and no teether were worn right off the gear. After all that work and trying all the things that I think could have gone wrong I had found the problem. When I was taking the transmission out of the car I slid the drive shaft out and no oil came out so I thought that was strange. Then when I went to drain the fluid out to take all the gears out, hardly anything came out. That is where it got really serious and my whole perception on what could have been wrong changed. I started turning gears and turning the input, output shaft and that is when I found my problem. The guy that owned the car before me had ran the transmission dry of oil and what had ended up happening is that it welded second gear to the input-output shaft. So that one sucks!

When I got the car the bumper was spider cracked to hell. So I started to sand it down as much as i could to get the bumper free of the spider cracks.
After all said and done.

I am heading out to my farm today to do some more work on the car, I will make suer I grab some pictures of the frame for everyone. Anyways I started to bend out the corner of the body and take the busted light out to find the problem of why it isn't going up or down.
This was all crushed in, so I took some pliers and pulled her back out to what it should look like. Well at least as close as I could get it. Body fill will finish that job. The hood was also bent where the light goes. I am starting to think this guy hit a fence or something small, because all the lights are broken on that side. When I took the light out I found out how bad this was. He must have hit something a little harder then a fence. It had bent the whole mount up, where the light is held. Look for the rust and you will see what i mean. After all that, i turned my attention to the trunk problem we were having. The trunk latch(By you foot) the cable was disconnected, and the key lock was broken. If you put your key in you could turn it till the cows come home with nothing to happen. Success! All the amp wiring. Don't think I will be needing that anytime soon.

Okay, now the body work begins!
All the little dents and sanding around the car. This dildo looking thing is what will be helping me to get those nasty dents out! Some of the dents popped out. Getting everything sanded down and removing the rust. This spot on the drivers side door was really bad. On to the other side. Snap shots of a hard days work. What better way to bond with my baby, then to watch the sen set with her.

Started to do some engine work.
Draining the fluids. Yum! My little KA24E Removal of the intake. Inside look. Filter looked pretty clean. So I needed to remove the splash guard to get that plastic liner around the wheel off, so I could get to the washer fluid reservoir. Got that all off. To get to this. All gone. Now I took a picture of these because NO 240SX and I repeat NO 240SX should rep these gay colored wipers. In the garbage they went!!!

More work on my 240.
Taking off the fenders. So my fuel door wouldn't open so i striped everything in the trunk to get to the latch. Then realized that i am going to need speakers for the back. :P I can get gas!! Some stripping. Took the front bumper out to get all the rust out and paint it. Painting.

When I bought the car it was undrivable, because the idiot that drove it before didn't bother fixing the leak on the tranny, and over timer the oil leaked out causing the gears to weld themselves onto the input-output shaft. So sadly she I haven't had the chance to actually drive her, besides being pulled. Good luck with your 240 and welcome to the club!!

Okay, this is the post all of you have been waiting for. What am I doing with the car.
Here it is. Draining the fluids for the last time. Rad removal. Her resting place at the end of the day. Removing the wires. Removing hoses. All the hoses removed. Horn removal. Exhaust removal. Those bolts were a bitch to get off. Starter. Fuel lines. There were just a pain in the ass so in the end I just ended up cutting them. Engine removal and sale. Bye bye KA24E! Empty engine bay. So once the engine was gone I wanted to do a bit more sanding before the day was over. Now you see it... Now you don't.. That is the post everyone was waiting for. I will let you guys think on what you might think is going to happen next.

Thanks alot guys.
So this is the money i got from selling the engine and other engine stuff. 520$$ Old KA24E wiring harness. Clearing of engine bay wires and parts, Taking the flip up light off. More engine bay clearing, Onto the next day, still clearing the engine bay. Removing the power steering. overflow. The busted exhaust. The somewhat cleared engine bay. More rust. That was enough for a day.
