Cool thread, I was waiting for Nismoknights KA-T to chime in, he's got to have one of the crazier drag car's on here.
There's a dude who came to the 626 meet a while back with a VH45/high stall auto drag car a while back, wonder where he's at. Quote:
My best 60' is around 1.7, my best 1/8th mile time (Irwindale, only run 1/8th once) was 6.8 @ 110mph or so, with a 2.0 60'... and my best 1/4 mile time was in Wisconsin, ran a 10.4 @ 139mph, with a 2.0 60' and lost to the Harley in the next lane. ... all of this happened on GSXR-1000's lol.

You are pretty much correct!
We have made a few drag specific coilovers that have spring rates condusive to drag racing. We also revalve the coilover extensively in the rear to have a faster compression rate and a slower rebound rate. This makes a huge difference in 60 ft times Quote:

Too bad we dont have a track out here...we got a 1/8 course that happens every 3 months or so.
Anyways, I just got my GT3582R installed. Going RB25 tranny next before I start flogging the car again... |

Old setup
-Stock blacktop SR swap in S14, boosting T25 to 14 psi -Kumho Ecsta MX tires 245/40/17 -Weighed in at 2920 lbs. including driver VERY LITTLE drag experience at all, I ran: 13.53 @ 100.8 mph, with a 1.92 60' time - I was happy with the 60' time! New Setup -GT2871R with supporting mods, stock motor -Same tires, same weight -PFC tuned to 320 whp/300 ft-lbs torque Went to the strip like a year ago, could NOT get it to hook up at alllllll I need to practice more, but Ran a 13.3 @ 110 mph, but with a 2.32 60' I am thinking that with the same launch I had on the old setup (1.9 or so 60'), this should be down near the mid 12s.....also, my clutch was slipping a little on this new setup, but I have since upgraded. j

Yes the Ladder bar does help and was going to be running a ford 9" haven't decided on what one quite yet but got some time before i'll need that much strength. I talked to spl on a drag set up they told me get soild bushings adjustable arms and the ladder bar no sway in the back ladder bar for the front and run stock sway up front. then choose a coilover set up i had tickio d spec struts and swift springs in there already so i'll stay with that seeing as those are adjustable dampining for now i'll keep it anyway good luck
