I'll go so far to say that your pictures were the most well known bosozoku car pictures on the internet, which is to say, they were the only ones i could find through google. |

Bozo = JDM equivalent of 14" pokie outie dayton spokes and Nike swoosh emblems in the rear window.
JK its a little different than that, but that's what it always reminds me of. |

yeah, they are a bunch of crazy ass jap gangsters. from what I hear from a friend of mine there are a bunch of gangs, and they huff alot of paint to get all high. and they make their bikes and cars as loud as possible and make tons of noise where ever they go. he says they are/were pretty mean too. he said they were a little like the bike gangs in "akira" the movie. what's also funny is he said half those oil coolers you see werent even hooked up to anything... lol.. but if they were they usualy were for the power steering so it wouldn't heat up due to the -50 offset wheels they always have on their cars...
by the way.. this thread has been jacked.

I actually want a bosozoku style car, just because I'd be the only person who's got one.
Not as a daily driver or anything, but just to roll around in once in awhile. Those are brand new Watanabes, right? What do those cost? I can't find anywhere that actually sells new Watanabes. |

okay, why are people giving definitions of 'zoku? I know what the fuck it is, no need to explain it to me. trust me bruddah, i'm from there. my moms apartment was located right on the street where they used to cruise every other weekend around 2-3am like clockwork. If you all are replying from my earlier post....Torakku Yarou = Truck...Motherfuckers. basically, see the pretty trucks?? yeah, the ones with neons. sorry to burst your bubble but, those aren't related to 'zoku. they're just truckers. sorry if i misunderstood something. just tired of seeing people give several different definitions that say the same thing but, put in different words.

I know those guys aren't boso, but it came up in my searches and knew it was Choku's shot, so I posted it. Those are just middle aged men who roll around with disco's in the back of their truck.

wheels like that. stupid. theres a fine line between insanely hot fat lip, and 18 wheeler style ugly which was just crossed. stretching a 195 to fit those? gonna look insanely stupid and i would be embarressed to be spotted in the vicinity of that car. a light stretch looks cool for tires, but something of that nature is just gonna make the car look like a piece of shit with a crappy dismounted tire. to each there own i guess but thats like a chicks with dicks market being appealed to.... very few people

hahaha u guys are so DENSE
cant you tell bryon is pulling your chain???? Those pices are ones i pulled off of a YAHOO JAPAN auction you really think some one could try to put a 14 inch 195/50 tire on a 12J wide wheel? DO YA GET OUT MUCH? ME THINKS NAWT!!! hahahahaha Acttually if you made say a good 250+ hp in a AE86 corolla and wanted tracktion those wheels would be a good choice. where do you think those wheels came from? I would guess an N1 or N2 car Guy who wanted new wats i can order them from japan any size you want, any offset, any bolt pattern but it will run you about 600 a rim plus shipping Max |

Well, after reading a post that was originally about craaazy sized wheels, I got a little history lesson bosozoku-style cars. This thread is so educational, I think it should go in the archive! (watch me get pinked for saying that..)
ok, back on-topic: It would be cool to some wheels like that stateside, on a bozo-car, of course. |
