There are many reason why people buy 240s, but what are the wrong reasons?

The first i heard was, "im buying this for the gas mileage"

How is that a bad/wrong reason?

They're extremely cheap to buy, extremely cheap to insure, great on gas as long as you have all of the maintenance up to date, and replacement parts are cheap.

Not everyone decides to buy a 240 specifically to modify it.

Also have to take into account someone's personal preferences. There's obviously better cars out there, but some people just prefer RWD to FWD/AWD, coupes to sedans, 2 seater/4 seaters, etc.

yeah, gas mileage is actually pretty decent with the 240sx's
even with some of the more popular swaps that usually happens to be the case.

anything that's related to ownership costs is pretty important.
if money was no issue, chances are you wouldn't be buying a 240sx.

a stock 240sx isn't an impractical car, save for interior space.
there's really not a whole lot it's not suited for otherwise imo.

True that... Brake fade sucked, but otherwise was still a lot of fun stock. I also had an Accent and I love beating on that poor car. Hell, I even had a lot of fun with my wife's PT Cruiser. It's all about learning where the limits are on each car and knowing how to manipulate them.

i also like how people talk bout being faster than hondas (be careful not all hondas slow especially if your stock 240) but there is more thaan just hondas out there to look out for and what sucks is that the 240 is now being call the new honda and it is sad but true thanks to drifting and fast and furious 1,2,3 and especially tokyo drift. they are good on gas but not when i drive lol
