For those that might be interested, here's some pics of the Mavs partying it up in Miami. If you scroll towards the middle-ish, you'll see Dirk's progressive state of getting wasted.
Mavericks Take Over LIV*|*World Red Eye While I'm happy for the city of Cleveland, and the state of Ohio, those guys are going to have to settle down sooner or later. I find this pretty hilarious though. TRENDING: Kasich unloads on LeBron, declares Mavericks ‘honorary Ohioans’ – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

^^^ that whole bit by the governor was hilarious. But you're right they're gonna have to calm down eventually. The thing is, the majority of people arent pissed that he left, they're pissed about HOW he left and that shit is gonna sit with folks for years to come.....
Hell, i cant stand Lebron (for the same reasons as phlip), but i dont blame the guy for leaving. I do however, think the "how" was classless, egotistical, and a huge slap in the face to the organization that gave him free reign to do whatever the fuck he wanted and then some for all those years. But whatver, he burned that bridge and now he's gotta deal with it. Classlessness on his part followed by classlessness of those he burned. Its a vicious and all the while hugely entertaining and hilarious cycle. The NBA, where shit happens. |

It's going to be tough to get over the stigma left by LeBron. The press conference after game 6 was not handled too well IMO.
That's one fine trophy wife. Quote:

Did I not say all criticisms are valid? To the victor go the spoils, to the defeated go the spoiled eggs.

don't hate on Gnnr guys, he has been a good sport through all this. you guys played a helluva playoffs man, sucks that you kinda fell apart in the finals, but thats where you learn. i have a feeling you guys will get a crack at it again. Hey, at least your team didn't get swept (read: SHITBLASTED) by the Mavs like mine :/

Other than that, your core group is one or two solid role players away from a title. I said before the season started, that LBJ is going to get a ring sometime in the future, not just this year, and I was right. All the ridicule and trashtalk you guys are getting is rightly deserved, whether you guys like it or not. Had you guys won, it would have been a different story. I like to make fun and talk shit of other teams/players because it's part of the game. If you think the amount of hate you get is bad, try being a knowlegeable and diehard Laker fan since '91 and having other fans call your whole fanbase a bunch of bandwagonners year in and year out that we win, and people who constantly make comparisons between Kobe and Mike, just to downplay Kobe's achievements. Trust me, we've had our share of hate and ridicule from the other NBA fans. Last edited by ALTRNTV; 06-14-2011 at 05:31 PM.. |

Coming from an ACTUAL Cowboys fan, I know your pain. Everyone who isn't a fan hates them, and if you're a fan, you're automatically a bandwagonner.

Can't we all just agree that we're glad to not have to see the fast-rapping T-Mobile Sidekick commercial?

Agreed. I like the T-Mobile new chick besides that weird wobble she does in that commercial, but Zeta-Jones blows that broad out the water.

This season was crazy, all the big trades, multiple ridiculous comebacks in the playoffs, so much fun.
Reflecting back, I really truly do think if Miami won this year the big three would have been spoiled, Mavs really deserved it. Dallas is the epitome of team work and putting in the time and effort for the trophy, not to sound cliche... I hope this drives Miami's big 3 to put in some serious hours working on their game in the off season. Congrats again to Dallas. |

I was less than compelled by the arguments presented either. Anyone in his camp, if he was using all this profitability he had to hire more competent handlers, should have pulled his coattail that it was a bad idea. "The Decision" that is, and I am fully of the opinion that if it were truly all about the kids and not the attention, then he could have gone in those deep pockets of his and laid out 2mil of his own cash, and not from the advertisers. And yes, it was ALL out the window when the "writer" played the "white people don't like LeBron" card, especially considering I have never been a fan of the guy and happen to be brown myself. I do agree that ESPN is a piece of shit for their hand in it, from both sides, and that no one who wants to keep their jobs will take them to task for that, so no one will say anything.

I think Charles Barkley and the writer of this article summed it up pretty damn well. Quote:
