Hey, I got my Hot Shot header in last night and i was reading over the instructions, and about the exhaust manifold gasket, it says that u can buy a new one or u can just use the old one. Ok what is the old one like??? Is it paper, asbestos, metal, etc.? Am i goin to be able to salvage ne of the old one??? I would like to replace it with a new one while im at it, but i would want to put a good high quality gasket on there ... copper, metal something like that ....... I did some checking around town and noone carries anything besides just the stock gasket and they will still have to order that. The peeps in here that have put a header on what did u do?? THANXS IN ADVANCE

96 s14 ..... It sez in the instructions that the header should slip in from the top comfortably and easily ...... lol welll i guess we will just c about that one :-P Plus, Hot Shot has made some changes to the headers that r suppose to fix these installation and fitment problems, guess i just find out for myself ..... and also what were ur stock gaskets made out of??

You should have just bought the Greddy Headers instead. It's a direct fit, bolts right on and nothing else needed to install. About your problem, you don't need to buy new ones. Just buy some sealer and apply it on the gasket.
