Sorry, I haven't posted since event. I was on mini vacation right after and wife kept me away from Computers....lol
So I wanna thank first all the drivers and people that showed up to watch. I can't believe that Nick took the 1st place spot with the 1,500. dollar car and bad suspension. That goes to show you that what you drive does not matter, all about driver skills, so Congrats again and you have my # so when your S14 is ready. Hit me up. Also, Congrats to all the other winners and staff as well. Ryan, you are a stand up guy and glad you worked things out, to where the participants were praising RAD at the end of day. A few things I would like to see and NOT see will be on an email in the morning. Overall great event and DTC PERFORMANCE will be at round 2 to support, once again. Remember guys, stay humble and DO NOT become the person you disliked so much. It's very easy to forget where and how you started with a little fame, as we saw this weekend. Keep up the great driving and see yall next round with some nice trophies for the WINNERS!! -Ernie

Do it people.
I sucked at event so that means I gotta do driver search for Anaheim. I also have to find a way to get rid of the butterflies. Dude, I am normal one minute and then it all changes really, really fast. Does this happen to any of you?

I am not going. I dont have enough cash to get there. I have alot to do.
Body work, tires, turbo, tune, seat, harness, a bunch of other shit.. So unless someone drops me like 2K, i cant go. No biggy though. As long as i can drive 1 time a month I will be happy.. As for butterflies, i still get them a little, but I just go and have fun. Its all about fun stuff. D1 and i would be a bit more nervous LOL!! i used to get so caught up in doing well and butterflies i would kill it all day and then try and qualify and shit myself all over the course... just relax and have fun.. Then it gets easier. Also, the more you do the more you will relax... My .02

Jeff here is exactly right, the more you do the less it effects you, and the rest is all just a mindset, everyone makes themselves nervous cuz they start overthinking and getting excited, just keep yourself calm and remember that your there for fun, whether you win or lose its gonna be fun!
Im not gonna be ready for D1 anaheim either, have to much to do to makethe car legal, and not enough time or funds |

Yeah I tried telling myself out loud that it was just practice, then like the body does not respond to do what I want and fail.
I do it for fun all the time =). That's why it was wierd to feel like that. Same thing happened at 626comp. I gues me knowing I am being looked at, I focus more on being perfect and well shit don't happen. I am gonna slap myself next time.

hahaha, dont worry, i used to do the same thing, just dont let yourself focus on the fact that your being watched or judged cuz thats just going to throw you off your game, just fovus on the drive, pay attention to what your doin in the car instead of whats happening around you. Thats what I do to keep myself channeled in

It took me a while to get disconnected from the whole nervous because it's a comp thing but you get used to it and then it's a lot easier. Practice practice practice!

Props to everyone who drove that event. By the end of the day everyone was killing the new track layout. Tandem action from top 8 was also really fun to watch. This was easily the most fun I've had @ balcony for years.
Everyone visit the new site and register for the next event! www.rad-experience.com Also media from RD1 will be posted in this thread: http://socal-drift.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1564
