Hey all, I have a chance to buy a 95 240sx with 102k miles. Its high i know, but its way clean. One owner, old guy, no door dings, nothing, just clean as ####. 5 spd. But its not an SE. I kinda wanted an SE but this one seems to be very loaded anyways. Its got all power options, and a sunroof! But its 4 lug, with no chin spoiler. I just saw it tonight, it looks like its a white with pearl, was that an option? so anyways, how hard is it to do a 5-lug conversion? are all the parts just bolt on from an SE? and are there any other things that a NON-SE doesnt have? sorry about rambling, i just really want this car. thanks in advance.

Oh, mileage doesn't matter that much as long as the owner takes great care of the car. How much is the guy asking? I believe the non-SE's are missing factory fog lights..unless that's an option or something. As for the 5-lug conversion, run a search on it and I'm sure you'll find a few threads about it.

thanks, i just got done readin a post about the 5-lug thing, no prob there. I am getting the car through a dealership, my dad is the sales manager there . so price is very good. i plan on going through the motor anyways, stronger internals and an SC if UH ever comes through with a good setup. But does anyone know about that Pearl White color? was it an option, cuz it looks like pearl white.

Takumi, BadMoJo,

High miles do matter! If you are going to buy a high kilometer car be prepared for the repairs 100K mile cars come with. You need to check the past maintaince records. Make sure the waterpump, alternator, starter etc have been replaced, and if not, be prepared to have to do it.

Higher mileage cars are cheaper for a reason.

I will check on the water pump and starter. But I am just wondering about the color now. Does anyone know about the pearl white, and if it was an option?

Pretty sure that pearl white is a stock colour, I've seen them around. Besides, who paints their car pearl white when given the option.

And if your still unsure, chech the moldings around the door and under the hood. When painting a car it is hard to miss all the parts that don't require paint.

yeah its a stock paint job, you can tell. I have just never seen that color on a 240 before, and I think it looks cool. i really want to get it and put the stock SE lip on the front and 97-98 side skirts after reading that post about it. Looks #### sweet. Now I have to figure out how much it will be to do the 5-lug swap. and maybe some 300zx rims just cuz they are cheap and look sweet.

Make sure you have all four disk brakes. Because I remember reading about a base S14 coming with drum brakes in the back.

its got rear disk, i think all S14s came with 4 wheel disk, oh well its got em. i might as well do the 300zx front brake upgrade if i am gonna do the 5-lug conversion.

yeah that's a stock color, but for some reason the rear bumpers on the 95's w/ that color always seem a little "off" for some reason, i've never seen one where i didn't notice the rear bumper not blending in as good w/ the rest of the car.

look, if you like it, and its below kbb buy in. 100k doesnt mean anyting if its well taken care of, but you will want to make sure there is no play in the chain, belts, etc. Replacing a chain in one of these, is almost 700-1500$ to get it done.
