Sr20det blown?
OK guys jus about when my day was over and finshied the coilovers i descided to drive the hing and test the ride.Well didnt go to well. started fine ran fine till i turned on main road and about half throttle and 1rst gear only i turned around.Well after tunning i noticed a trail of smoke and the car was running like crap,(blue smoke) really bad but its less that a football field from house. Get it home kill it and try to recrank it spins over but dosent start. Wait 5 mins try again spins but seems like starter or bottom end locks up so it stops spinning.I havent tried to fully srtart it yet so i tried a few things.
I can turn it over by pully with rachet no probs. I hear a light hissing from the back area by tranny. Pulled the oil cap and smells like fuel. Rad and oil clean beside oil smelling like fuel. Starter has done something like this before when ifirst got the car. Made a awfull sound and stoped it from starting. reason i didnt try or care about 2end gear is it grinds if more than 1/4 throttle. Theres no oil on the ground. Car did run rich when i first got it but only have started and idol trying to get it to run right. Yestery day was the first day i really drove it more than 1 mile. So oil change was comming later today jus wasent there yet. The motor was a fresh swap with the normal jap miles of 50 or 60. Im realy hope something on the fly wheel broke or simple as that. Any ideas? |

If you are getting blueish smoke, you are burning oil. So no, it's not just something with the flywheel. Did you ever do a compression test on the thing?

OK pulled the valve cove and the Number one cyl is full of water or fuel. So basically i hydrolocked first cyl. I dont have that much experance with rebuilding so what else would have happen besides blown head gasket? Any chance i messed up crank / bearings.Piston/rod?

OK jus tried another test. Im no expert so if what i did is normal please let me know.
Since the valve cover is off i descided to go ahad and bump the car over. I mean bump as in baby style. Did it a few times to get the number one back to top to test if each piston is travling the same. They do. What i noticed after doing the 5 bumps or so that when i walke back around to look see that the number 2 cyl was filling with fluid for about 10 sec after i got there. But the others were dry. So i tested that fluid and its fuel. Now rem this morning after 12 hrs sitting it was the 1cyl that was full of water or fuel. Why would the #2 inj still be shooting fuel after i shut down the key? Its alot not a dribble. Prolly 1/8 inch deep of fluid. |
