are you saying CA as California, or Canada?
I know in California, neither engine would pass the emmissions testing. But, if you mean Canada.... by all means. How cheap are you looking? A s13 sr20 and a ca18det both are about $1800-2300 each from unstable-hybrids. Also, occasionally, you could check ebay and I've seen some s13's go for under $1000, but they dont come with any sort of warranty like if you bought from a shop. -Jeff |

actually, i saw 2 on ebay that actually had a warranty..i dont remember the shop i just searched nissan and ran into an sr that was at $400 with like 7 days left. but its up past a grand by now. im not sure what type of warranty, full, implied, limited, etc. but i doubt it would be something you could really trust if anything were to go wrong.

is the ca worth it if ur losing the low end and waitin for the turbo to spool and only getting 15- more crank horsepower? how is the low end in the CA? </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> The CA is fairly torquey stock... Yes it is worth it. Its quite a bit easier to flow air in and out more quickly/efficiently in a turbo car than a NA car.. Intake/exhaust does more for a turbo car... and plus boost up is a very affordable option... My stock CA (internally) did fine at 0.9~1.0 boost for about a year.. (and is still fine) .. And you do lose some low-end power when upgrading, but its definitely worth it. Pat |
