You should post questions in our website that we check regularly. You dont need to sign up, it's a blog site so all you need is name and post. http://driftbattle.org/ There might be a fee, I don't exactly know how much but I can contact Altamont and see how much they are charging. |

Considering that drifting is not a major thing for altamont, i would assume that the meeting is for the nascar guys.
Im sure it wouldnt hurt to have a drifter or two there to represent our sport, in case the nascar guys start talking crap about us.

Ditto on Luke bringing out the GTO! Seen that Top GEar episode... w/ Kazama driving...
Drift Battle Folks, will there be separate courses [recommended/enforced] for newbs/intermediates? Looks like there could be a couple courses arranged safely on the new setup... Also, is there still a skid pad? thnx, Justin [already signed up ]

repaving? really dont like sound of that. last time they were repaving, the begining of previous season got delayed ONLY few months. not mentioning surface suked. they should defintly do something about the dirt too.
it's time that people get serious about drifting in norcal, beacase socal is at least one year ahead of us, it's not like we dont have cars... why everything has to be done in last minute? |

Man, SoCal is like, LIGHT YEARS ahead of us, in this trend like all the others.
The repaving of Altamont the first time was when they were actually building the track to the format it is now.

Cool... wonder whut the NASCARS will have for runoff + speed scrubbing now... w/e, sounds good for us! Is TRUENOCOUPE Al? I was wondering who these Dirft X Battle ppl are...
Socal has more events because they live in a suburb/desert. More space, everyone has their own piece of the american dream, so they don't whine and require permits like they do in Norcal - an urban development... with public transportation that ppl use.

Hey Al,
Any idea about the waiting list? I e-mailed and want to see if its posted somewhere, like in the past. I just wanted to verify that I'm on there as I didn't get any confirmation from Jay, whom I believe is busy with other things lately. I know past events where it filled up, and there were 5-10 people on the waiting list that you eventually did add to the overall list... any chance you'll do it for this event? Thanks! -Aaron '91 240sx coupe Who's trying to attend this event |

Okay guys... I just got back from my vacation so I'll answer as many questions as a I can if Al hasn't already.
The event is from 9am - 5pm, there was an error on the flyer template we will updated it ASAP. Tech will start as soon as drivers are allowed to enter the venue at approximately 645am. A full schedule will be posted to the site mid next week and emailed to registered participants. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list you can email us at [email protected]. We will add you in your order of contact (date/time) to the list and you can show up the same time as the other drivers the day of the event with your cash in hand should someone not show on time or cancel the day of. Cancellations: If you are cancelling you are responsible for finding your own replacement. However, seeing as there are at least 5 people on the waiting list from this thread already... feel free to contact us if you need help. All we will do is provide you with the waiting party's email address and it is up to both of you to coordinate the transfer. Once the spot is sold, the seller/cancelle' should notify us of the sale and replacement driver/car information so we can add them to our list. The drivers meeting will occur on event day and event day only. This is MANDATORY. If you do not show up or are late (we're dicks) and you will not be able to participate in the event and will not receive a refund. I believe the AMP driver's meeting is for drivers/teams interested in the AMP facility and operations etc and is more tailored to the NASCAR guys. AMP may charge a spectator fee to watch, however we will not be charging a spectator fee. Any questions... I'm back and will answer them as best I can.
