If the engine was the same as the WRX or maybe even just measured up to an F20C, then I'd care. But it doesn't, so I don't care.
This ain't an FRS forum.

I drove one of these a little while back. It was fun and had a good feel about it, but it was slow. It amazes me that there still isn't a factory turbo option for it.

I care so much right now. I want to know all the things you're going to do with it. Was hoping to see a selfie of both of you together. No homo.

im not sure what i was thinking talking about cars on a car forum.
I owe less than 10k on it. But thanks to the nontroll posts. Comparing to a 350z, its quick in the curves. However, if you hit the brake you already lost. Over all the car is awesome. No plans for mods, keeping the warranty for as long as possible. |

Although it is unclear what your statement meant, you were basically were saying your new TOYOTA is better than any 20 year old NISSAN. On a NISSAN forum. Wherein 90% of the cars on this forum fit that description. It really isn't going to be well received.

A few weeks later I was driving my NA Z32, which isn't even a fast car at all. I saw another person test driving the FRS with the salesman on the same route he had me take. Pulled up alongside, revved, raced him, beat him. Had a pretty good chuckle at the possibility that I cost him a sale using a car that is notoriously slow, and went on about my day. |

I do love these little cars. Honestly, if this thing had a Nissan badge on it it would obviously accepted better by most folks on here. Driven the BRZ and really enjoyed it, even as an auto. I almost bought if it weren't the idea of 3 2 door cars sitting in my driveway and still needing to bum a truck once in a while. Next year I'll probably be out of the S-Chassis game and get myself a new car as well. Doubt it'll be a 2 door as it's just not convenient enough for me now.

People get excited about their cars. Let them be. It happens in almost all circles. OP could have just wanted a new car. Some people like the experience of being the only owner for a change. I still don't get this overhyped argument. It's a car that was marketed for it's handling. Which is pretty much on point. Aftermarket has jumped all over it with goodies, including some nice power adders. That would give it a broader customer base, but honestly the styling alone catches so much attention by itself that people are simply drawn to the little car. That's more of what would fix the car for you. I'm not a HP power fiend. Actually prefer a well balanced and great handling car over tons of power. FRS/BRZ fits the bill. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my current needs.

Who said anything about tons of power? Are you the type that would prefer an N/A KA over an SR20DET? Just asking. Because I don't know where this HP fiend stuff is coming from. The WRX motor is about 265hp at the crank nowadays. But you seem to be implying that an FRS/BRZ with a power to weight ratio a tab bit better than an S2000 or SR20DET powered S14 Silvia would somehow make it inferior than it current state...

I don't really get it. If you don't care about the dudes new car, then don't click on the post. Move on to the next.
unwtdhero probably just is happy with his new purchase and wanted to share. Why can't there just be a good conversation and not shit slinging? You guys know that not every thread on Zilvia HAS to be "The Kouki/Zenki/Coolest Car/Doing It Wrong/Silvia/Onevia/Chuki/Pignose/Two-Tone" thread, right? |

What's not to get that something like this doesn't require it's own thread?
Both of you have been on Zilvia long enough to know we don't go for shit like this. Brag about it in your sig, post it in the pic thread, comment on it if someone asks. Other than that, we all know what a stock FRS looks like, so we don't care. Now excuse while I go bump another thread more worthy on top of this one...

I was on the fence but w/ no plans to mod it... 1 pic, talking like its gods personal chariot over far superior twin-turbo 300zx, Skyline GTRs, members w/ solidly built cars, there's no point bragging up a stock base model scion here.
I would like to thank you for taking the depreciation hit. Keep it nice for us I'm sure we'll get more into them once the STI motor swaps and 2jz swap are more accessible |

a buddy of mine has one. overall the car is pretty cool. Its lightweight and rearwheel drive. I do however not like the body lines. I am more into the old boxy style cars. that being said when riding and driving my friends it was terribly slow. tbh it felt slower than my stock ka did... he has owned it for over a year now and last i heard he was boosting it because.. well if you are into cars every once in a while you will fool around, and who likes getting pulled by a sohc civic? not me. anyway, nice purchase. enjoy it and make it what you want.

I never said it was "fast".
Whats wrong with buying a car that handles well, and comparing it to a 240? (Both being fr) I dont understand the comments about not paying it off... I mean i dont buy things i cant afford, maybe yall do? Anywho my vqcoupe will be my track car. And as far as relativity goes to the forum, i posted in offtopic. So if bashing does that much for the egos in this forum, feel free. After all, it is offtopic. Good day |
